"Troy provided excellent advice ahead of time on options to remove and replace two 26 year old, poorly constructed decks, their posts and supports, all built on a steep hill. He supported our request to use composite materials and suggested that we visit a building supply company (MWP in Madison, VA) to look at options. He gave a detailed estimate, and explained that he charges by the hour, not the job. He was on-site throughout the project, which was completed in less time than projected (about 4 weeks total). During the project, Troy suggested moving the location of stairs from the original position on the upper deck. His design skills provided a better use of space, protected a beautiful cedar tree and opened up view of a stone wall with room for a rock/flower garden--all at a lower cost that the original footprint replacement cost. His crew consistently did above and beyond what we expected, including extensive removal of overgrown weeds underneath the lower deck, and landscaping of several areas, adding grass seed and hay to help re-seeding--and then re-doing it after heavy rains washed the seed out. They removed an old shed, and moved stones to drain water away from the house. Troy also suggested building wide steps leading down from the driveway to the lower yard next to the deck, providing a safer access to the yard and stairs and improving the overall look of the yard. He handled all visits by the county building inspectors, and recommended an electrician for installation of lighting. Troy and his crew were polite, friendly, always cleaned up each night and were careful to leave their tools safely out of the way of our toddler grandson. The cost was significantly less than we had received from another company, and we are completely happy with the results."

When the person came to measure he also didn’t catch that I was having all my windows done except one. The windows look great. The response when I notified the co that one window was missed was very fast but added to my cost."
