It was wonderful, almost magical.. After contacting several other installers and either getting a "vague, not sure what was included" estimate or no estimate at all.. I remembered a friend had some work done by Dave, and she was impressed with his thoroughness and attention to detail.. I called. Dave came out and listened to what I was hoping to have done, we discussed options, he gave me a price and I knew exactly what I was getting and how it would be done. Within two weeks, his men came out, and Bam! In a whirlwind of focus and efficiency, it was done. Everything was double-checked by Dave (and his men). All the debris was gone, they even have a little hand vac.. When they left, it was like they had never been here, but somehow I had fabulous new windows.

Very happy with my new windows!! Dave and his crew did an amazing job keeping me updated with the progress since I was at work by sending me random pictures and videos. They even covered our furniture and floors to protect everything! Chose the better quality windows and do not regret it! Will definitely give him referrals and any future work I need done.

We had Dave and his professional team at Energy Window install our new replacement windows. The windows are beautiful! The old ones did not insulate well, and we have also noticed that with the new double-pane windows, our house is much quieter, too! No outside noise. Dave and his team worked quickly, replacing all the windows in just one day. The windows are so sturdy and clear, and it will be easy to keep them clean because of the tilt-out feature. We really love our windows. Dave was great from the time he came to show us windows until after the installation. He wasn’t pushy but honestly helped us make a good decision about which windows to buy. This was a big purchase for us and he really took our situation into consideration when presenting options. He set up the installation process and was there with his crew the whole time. They all worked as a team to get everything done quickly and carefully. They were very careful and clean. They covered everything with drop cloths and left my house as clean as when they got here. Everything turned out better than I even expected!

It was great, I got several quotes and Dave with Energy Windows LLC had a best price, as well as the fastest projection of when he would be able to get it done. Other quotes were February and beyond, and I was getting them in December. He had my windows in within 3 weeks, and they look amazing. I no longer feel the heat seeping out when I stand in front of them, and I've gone from using 3 space heaters while working at home to 1, and retaining the same temperature. I would definitely recommend Dave and Energy Windows LLC. I'd also mention they came in $2000 under the nearest bid from Home Depot, and for much better windows with full screens and lots of features, plus a 30 year warranty. A very good experience and I will be hiring them again for other projects. Angie's list never lets me down.

Really happy with the work. Most of the work was done in one day, with just some touchup needed on day two. Windows look fabulous and now the room retains heat instead of being unusable in the Winter due to the cold.

Energy Windows is a small business in Edinburgh, VA. It’s owner, Dave Udstuen, takes great pride in his product and work. He came out to the house, demonstrated the window and explained its virtues and value. I chose Energy Windows after months of talking to several contractors, Google searches and window acronym language and number comparisons. I also upgraded 6 west-facing windows to triple pane for $40 each. The windows arrived ahead of schedule and were very efficiently installed. The job site was thoroughly cleaned up after each day of work. Dave was on site every day and clearly communicated plans and schedules so I was aware of the installation status and progress. I have 5 more windows to be installed with a kitchen renovation and will be happily scheduling that work with Dave and Energy Windows.

Dave Udstuen of Energy Windows LLC installed 3 windows in my condominium on 1st February 2018. I could not be happier! The windows are beautiful and are keeping the warmth in and the cold and wind out! The original condo windows were completely inefficient and poorly installed. Dave was very personable throughout the process, and was quite willing to explain the details of his work. In short, I found Dave to be honest and pleasant. I got in touch with Dan through a friend who is a realtor. I currently reside in New Jersey and was doing this job "remotely". Dan had an estimate for me within a week and it was very reasonable. He included a website on the windows that he would be installing--highly energy-efficient, argon infused--and requested 50% down and balance upon completion. He made it clear that the job would be done roughly two weeks after the down payment had been received to allow time for the windows to be ordered. Sure enough, 12 days after our transaction, he notified me that the job would be scheduled. He actually did the work the day prior to his scheduled date because he had is full crew available to do the job. The work was completed the same day--removal of the old windows, replacing any worn/rotted wood, new windows installed, exterior framed in fresh aluminum, and a very thorough clean-up. I was down to see the work for myself last month and I could not be happier! I am going to ask him to replace a door and a slider based on his high-quality performance with the windows!

The entire process was quite straightforward. Dave scheduled an initial meeting right away and brought a variety of product brochures and samples. We discussed pricing options, features, styles, and eventually settled on an approach that fit our budget and kept with the style of the house. The ordering process was simple and Dave kept us aware of delivery and install dates. On the dates of the install, the Energy Windows crew showed up on time and were professional and courteous. There were no surprises and despite the house having some very unique construction featuers the replacement windows were installed quickly. I checked in on the progress out of curiousity and everything looked to be executed properly. The install took two days and when we got some storms it was obvious overnight which rooms had new windows and which were original. All of the finish work was clean and the crew took great care with drop cloths and masking. The site cleanup between days and after the project was outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend this company.

Energy Windows put new windows in our house. When we mentioned we need the screened in porch upgraded Dave said no problem he could do it. They did a nice job. It took four days. The house looks so much better with the porch repaired, wrapped and painted.
