"Found the piece in a curio type used furniture store in College Park, MD (Peg Leg). It was painted pink. Got it for a great price but it needed restoration. Wilson's quote was along the line of other furniture we had restored over the years. The piece came back looking like new. Apparently under the pink there was another coat of white and it took extra time to strip all the layers. You have to be patient with the process because his time estimate might be off if he hits a snag like he did with mine. "Due to damage to the kitchen floor and a cabinet in my home, I needed to have a new floor installed. I also decided to have the flooring in the adjacent dining room and a nearby powder room replaced while having the work done. I chose KDK Home Improvements after getting work estimates from three different contractors. When he visited to provide an estimate, Dave was polite, answered all my questions, and gave helpful suggestions about the work. Among the contractors that I contacted, Dave was the best at providing the information I wanted without being pushy. His pricing was competitive with the others, but his demeanor and customer service helped me to come to an easy decision to choose KDK.
Once work began, Dave and his crew were hard working, professional and courteous. The quality of their work was excellent, and Dave was diligent about keeping me and my wife informed about his progress. Once the old, damaged floor was removed in the kitchen, it was discovered that there was damage to the subfloor and a portion of the wall that extended beyond our expectation. Dave was quick to provide an additional estimate on the new work and complete the repairs. Throughout the project I was satisfied that the work was being completed in a timely fashion. Dave was always available via phone and email. On completion of the project, the work and prep areas were thoroughly cleaned by Dave and his crew.
Should I need further work on other areas of the house, I will definitely contact KDK Home Improvements again."

"The only regret I have about hiring Travis Graham/Graham Restoration was that I didn't find him sooner!  I needed a variety of jobs done to get our house ready for the market, and Travis was able to take care of ALL of them, quickly and professionally.  He painted the exterior and replaced rotted and dog-chewed wood trim, replaced pickets, replaced damaged siding, replaced boards on our deck, did some gutter repair (actually repaired some guttering that I thought would have to be replaced, thus saving me considerable expense) and did a small plumbing job.  Travis was very responsive to my initial call and follow-up emails.  I needed the work done in a hurry and it was also during that period where it rained for three weeks putting the schedule into turmoil since much of the work was outside.  Travis communicated about what he could/couldn't do because of the weather and looked for openings in the weather to get the jobs done.  For my jobs, he charged an hourly rate plus materials (and I had almost all material on-site) and he does not waste time.  He doesn't hurry but he works quickly and methodically and stages the jobs to get the most done in the least time.  In short, I'm sure I'll have another punchlist once we have a buyer for our house and subsequent home inspection, and I will absolutely call Travis to take care of it."
