"I had my duct work cleaned last week by A-1 Duct Cleaning Services. The cleaning was an extremely thorough job! He stayed until everything was done, and showed me the progress made. I did not fully understand how much the state of ductwork can affect indoor air quality. So important to have this done!"

Small jobs welcome

"Angie's List turned up Robin's Cleaning Service as a possible contractor for carpet cleaning. We went with her since she's independent and relatively local (Gretna). She came today, worked hard for over two hours to clean our Master BR and closet, lower staircase and roughly 1/4 of the lower living area, and did a lovely, attentive and thorough job for $225. Very pleasant--does carpets and other cleaning, painting, landscaping, mowing and pressure washing between morning and evening school bus driving for Gretna public schools (all three levels). Just a really sweet lady whom we enjoyed getting to know. If you have odd jobs, give her a chance. Robin Hall, 434-728-0529, is highly recommended! Sonic Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

It is not advisable to DIY a roof cleaning job. Cleaning your roof yourself could lead to hazardous falls, scrapes, and even burns, making this a dangerous project. Additionally, using the wrong cleaning solution or cleaning method on your roof could risk damaging it. While some markets offer a DIY roof cleaning kit, these products often speed up the deterioration of your roof.

To ensure that you and your roof are protected, it’s best to leave roof cleaning to a professional with the right chemicals, tools, and equipment to complete the job safely.

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

The average cost to clean a roof is around $500, but prices can fall between $150 to $1,000 or more. The size and complexity of your roof are the most significant cost factors, as larger roofs and those with various bump-outs and gables will increase your cost. Your roof material will also make a difference. An asphalt roof will require more labor, as your professional will need to be careful not to damage the shingles. A metal roof can stand up to more intense scrubbing and shouldn’t take as long to clean.

Risks include slipping, shingle damage, or chemical misuse. Professionals ensure safety and proper procedures to minimize these hazards.

Yes, you can, but you’ll need to acquire the right pressure washer tips and cleaning solutions for the job. In particular, you’ll need tips that are capable of lowering the pressure from a max of 3,500 PSI to between 150 and 300 PSI. As for the cleaning solution, look for options that are clearly marked for soft washing rather than pressure washing.
