"The customer rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. "Eric and his team did a great job with all of the landscaping projects at my house. Starting with the patio, the job was well explained and well executed. "Bernard did a fantastic job on the projects at our house which included repairing and repointing mortar in our front steps and basement cinderblock, and pouring concrete in our toolshed (it only had dirt before). He came right away to do the estimate and started shortly after we hired him. He was very careful about details and made sure everything looked great. It's best to wait until temperatures are steady, as mulching too early in the spring can slow down the soil's warming process and hinder plant growth. Fall mulching is also beneficial, as it insulates the soil and helps regulate its temperature when the first frosts arrive.

You should avoid planting grass, shrubs, plants, and trees in freezing temperatures, as the ground can get frozen and become too hard for proper root growth. It’s best to plant in the fall to allow your plants to establish root systems before the first frost. Landscaping when the average temperature in your area is between 50 and 60 degrees will usually deliver the best results.

A half inch above ground level is ideal for metal edging. This provides enough depth for the edging to hold in place and enough height to keep in most landscaping materials (like mulch or gravel). If you install edging too high off the ground, it will stand out from your landscaping and pose a tripping risk. If you install it too low, your ground cover won’t stay in place.
