A few years ago I had someone else supposedly fix this type of stucco and it didn't last. These folks are excellent and very knowledgeable. "It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Grady's Painting and Plastering & Construction"

"I was very happy with the professional interior paint job done in my house. The whole house was covered properly so that there were no spills or messes on my furniture or carpets. Painting lines at wall borders, trims, etc. were very clean, and you could tell there was extra care put into those areas. Work was completed in a timely manner, and in fact I was working under a very tight deadline, but that proved to be no issue to get the work done in time for me to meet my deadline, which was a giant relief for me. 

In terms of the special painting that I had completed on the house, I couldn't have been more impressed with the artistic ability of the painter. I had my column finished to look like marble, and I was amazed at how well it turned out, and how you could not even tell it wasn't truly marble. I absolutely loved how the gold foiling around my fireplace came out, it looked absolutely beautiful!! The craftsmanship of the painter was evident in the details and overall look. I am already thinking of what I can have him do next.

"I contacted Rent Painters to paint the interior and exterior of my townhouse. I set an appointment with Chris to look at the project. He arrived promptly and we walked through the house. A few days later he provided me an estimate for labor and material. The estimate was fair and I contracted the work. The crew came as agreed and they completed the work in just a few days. The quality of work was excellent. My house looks fully refreshed. I could not be happier with the end product. I will call them again for my next paint project and I highly recommend them!"

Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.

In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.

"Overall everything went great.  Tom was very punctual in dealing with me through the estimation and work process.  The work was performed quickly and generally of great quality.  There were some minor issues with the painters not removing outlet covers to do the painting, but I pointed it out and Tom took care of it quickly.  I would gladly recommend them to others!
