"I called Dos Amigos Landscaping and asked for an estimate on installing landscape lighting system (2.23.14). I was given an appointment for an associate to come to my home the next business day which was a Monday and give an estimate.  Two professional men came to my home at appointed time.  They educated me on the difference between halogen vs. LED lighting systems. I chose a LED system and Dos Amigos showed up on time and on schedule and installed my new system.  I have a remote that allows me to control my lights from inside or outside.
The Dos Amigos guys showed me how to operate my new lighting system and gave me their cell phone numbers to ensure that I could get in touch with them in case I had any questions."

"We had a large blank wall and high ceilings. The space needed something more. Jen was great to work with. She asked what our goal was for the space . She gave us a few options then designed a wall unit with a mantle. It’s beautiful. We love the new addition to our home."

Modern outdoor light fixtures are waterproof and weather resistant, and, provided they’re installed correctly and by a professional, the fixture and wiring can last for 20 to 30 years or more. The lifespan will depend largely on the quality of the fixture. The lifespan of the bulb will depend on the type of light you install:

  • CFL bulb (for sustained use): 15,000 hours

  • Halogen bulb (mostly for security): 2,000 hours

  • HID bulbs (for security): 12,000 hours

  • Incandescent bulb: 1,000 hours

  • LED bulb: 50,000 hours

The cost of lamp repair generally ranges from $30 to $150, with an average cost of around $75. Common repairs like rewiring or replacing a switch typically cost around $60 and $80, respectively. The final price depends on factors such as the type of lamp, the complexity of the issue, and the parts required. Keep in mind that repair costs may be higher for ornate or antique lamps. It's a good practice to ask for a price quote from a professional lamp repair service to determine if the investment is worthwhile.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.

Pool lights are designed to be safe by protecting swimmers from electrocution. These lights are made with waterproof fixtures and seals to prevent contact with the water.

Electrocution from pool lights is still possible, but rare. Faulty wiring or broken lighting equipment can make lights unsafe, so it’s important to replace lights as needed and have an electrician inspect and upgrade the wiring.
