"Excellent work from start to finish! I hired Stonecrest Construction to clear trees, level and prepare a pad for a future garage, and install a new driveway off of my existing driveway. "This was about the fourth time we have hired Chad Hurry for landscaping services. In the past, he did a curved paver sidewalk, circular large circular raised planters that coordinate with stacked stone and paver retaining walls in the front ditch and sides and back of our house, two patios on either side of the back deck, and total landscaping (with large rocks and plants) of the front yard. People have actually stopped and taken pictures of our yard. So, when we decided to add a walkway to the side of our house and remove a dying tree and re-landscape, we did not bother to call anyone else... just called Chad. Why mess with success?
Chad and his assistant, Rob, were extremely easy to work with. We discussed our vision and Chad sketched out his ideas based on that... it was exactly what we were thinking. They were friendly, professional, and hard-working. The walkway they constructed exceeded our expectations... it was far sturdier than I thought it would be. They cleaned up the driveway and work area at the end of each work day and completed the entire project in 7 days... extremely reasonable. We felt the price was very reasonable as well.
We have hired Chad several times and would hire him again without hesitation!

"There was only one hang up. When I contacted them through e-mail I indicated that I wanted to talk about installing an antique wood burning stove in addition to the chimney inspection and cleaning. The appointment was made for the afternoon on a certain day. But, the guys called that morning and left a message on my voicemail saying they could come early. I did not get the voicemail and they showed up early anyway. I was not home but my mother was there. Unfortunately, these guys did not get the word from the scheduler in the office that I wanted to talk about the installation of the wood burning stove in addition to having the chimney cleaned. So they came did they work and left. I called the workers back (since I had their phone number from the voicemail) and communicated my annoyance at the schedule change. The guy was very apologetic and offered to come back though he was no longer available at the scheduled time which I had blocked off on my calendar.
However, we ended up talking about the project over the phone and he was able to give me all the information I needed about the potential installation over the phone. He was very knowledgable and helpful. So, I'd like to give them a "B" for punctuality though that doesn't seem to really fit the situation. So they get all As despite this little hitch.

"Highly recommended!  I contracted with Brick Solutions owner, Joe Walls, to have a badly damaged concrete driveway replaced with brick pavers.  I had previously gotten estimates for replacing the driveway with new concrete but I was concerned about damaging the roots of a very old tulip poplar tree adjacent to the driveway.  When the concrete contractor informed
me if he didn?t cut the roots he couldn?t guarantee the concrete but if he did cut the roots he could not guarantee the tree would survive, I decided to go with brick.
Joe said he could do the driveway without damaging the roots.  He broke up the old concrete with a jackhammer rather than bringing in heavy equipment.  We consulted with an arborist who told Joe what could or could not be cut.  When our plan to save a portion of the old concrete did not work out because it was too cracked Joe volunteered to break it up and replace it
with brick at no extra charge.  He worked carefully, followed all out suggestions, and managed to give us a smooth brick
driveway that looks much better than what we had before.
In short, Brick Solutions did a great job for a reasonable price and it was pleasure to work with Joe.

"Mike was the only contractor to call us back right away.  He showed up when he said he was going to show up - he called when he said he was going to call.  Installation took 3 days and each time - he called on time and showed up on time.  Very happy with his service and highly recommend."

Employee base for job based on size and scope, sub-contractors on rare occasions, licensed by the State(501287343), County(0022420), US Govt(EIN 27-2839172), Sales Tax Division(783972123). We do not charge for the first two trip charges. We do not charge for hands-on customer support, we do charge for site plan development or site plan drawings if customer does not use our company for installation of the design. All bids are negotiated(within reason). Add-ons are additional charges. All our company members are college educated regardless of position. We are fun to work with and when we are not working we enjoy the Outer Banks, Hilton Head Island, or raising our children, just being good parents.
