"This company was efficient, reliable, trustworthy and completed the overall work within a reasonable amount of time exercising safety first. I had brick repaired or replace, inspection to chimney completed with extensive cleaning and replacement of additional parts. The price was discussed with a detailed explanation and work was proceeded same day with no delay. Covid precautions were taken into consideration with mask wearing by all. They cleaned up all debris before leaving. I was extremely satisfied with the cost and completion of work described. Very friendly and respectful staff. Would recommend them to anyone. It was worth the price and a job well done"

"As they were inspecting, they found other problems with the chimney that I had to repair. I ended up paying a little more than I expected.   My overall experience was just okay. They came on time and were responsive."

"William was very professional and did an outstanding job of inspecting the 3 fireplaces. Only had to have two cleaned. He also recommended that we have the crown on two chimneys repaired due to cracks letting water in. He completed all the work in a timely manner and at a fair price."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Call 911 immediately. If you have a fire extinguisher or fire blanket near the laundry room, you can attempt to extinguish the fire, but don’t open or touch the dryer. If you can’t put the fire out, evacuate yourself, your family, and your pets from the house, closing the laundry room door behind you. Turn off the electricity to your home via the outside fuse box, then wait for the fire department. After a dryer fire, have your home’s electrical system inspected to make sure there isn’t any damage.

Yes, a seller is legally required to disclose any known fire damage when selling a house, including damages that were repaired. That includes damages to structural components and all major systems, as well as water damage, chemical damage, and smoke damage related to the fire. Sellers use a property disclosure statement, which is regulated by each state individually, to disclose fire damage.

The first thing you should do when cleaning smoke damage is open all your windows to ventilate the affected area and run an air purifier with a HEPA filter. Cover your furniture and belongings to prevent soot accumulation, and vacuum any soot that’s on the floor and other surfaces. Be sure to wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection when cleaning the affected area.

Yes, most insurance plans cover acts of nature. In policy documents, this also may be called “Acts of God” or “natural disasters.” However, not all acts of nature are covered by your policy, and the extent to which they’re covered depends on your specific contract. Check your policy documents to understand your coverage limits and exclusions.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.
