"A plumber came to my home and said he could not clear the blockage and that I needed to replace part of my main sewer line. I called ECR to get a quote for this job. Jeremy called me back and came out less than 2 hours later. He offered to try and clear the blockage and said if he was unable to, then there would be no charge. He then looked around my yard and found a cleanout under my house. Three plumbers had previously told me that I didn't have a cleanout by the house and that it would cost $1500-$2200 to install one. Next, Jeremy went to work on the blockage and he cleared it out! He located the area of the block and told me that I would only need to replace a small section, about a fourth of what I was told. I was quoted $3600-$4500 to install a new sewer line section and Jeremy charged me less than half of what I had previously paid to clear a blockage. I will probably still need to replace part of my main sewer line, but now I have some time to make the plans, and needless to say, ECR will be the ones I call. Jeremy was professional, polite, hard-working and he got the job done. His assistant was just as good. A nightmare turned into something I can manage, thanks to ECR. They rock!!! I have dealt with three other plumbers and my experiences were one was okay but unable to do the job, one was late and unable to do the job, and one charged me more than 3 times what I paid ECR. "Our sewer sump pump alarm came on on Thurs night. We investigated and noticed that the sump pump was not running. We doubled checked the breaker panel -- nothing had been tripped. So we turned off the alarm, went back to sleep with the intent of looking for plumbers on Angie's List to help us resolve this problem. I contacted David Plumbing & Heating, Inc. at 0800 Fri morning. I told the woman on the phone of my scenario who took my phone number and said a technician would call me back. I told her that I was taking my husband to a Cardiology appointment later that morning (he was scheduled to have open heart surgery in a couple of days) and needed to try and talk to the technician before 0930. She understood the urgency and said someone would call before 0930. True to her word, someone called at 0830 and told us to call him back when we returned from our appointment. Our appointment lasted longer than we anticipated, which also involved a trip to the hospital for some lab work. When we finally got back home and called him back (about 1300 hrs) he said he would be at our house in a couple of hours. He (Dennis the technician) arrived at 1500 hrs and almost immediately found the problem in the sump pump. Something had gotten the float ball stuck (probably toilet paper in the effluent), which triggered the water not refill in the sump pump tank, which in turn trigger the alarm that there was no water (or it was at a low level) in the sump pump. He didn't even have to take the lid off the tank. He was done within 30 minutes. But he checked everything out, flushed the toilets, ran water, etc., several times to make sure the system was turning on and that the tank was filling up to its correct level. Dennis was professional, knew his trade well, was very polite and even liked our dog! I really appreciated the fact that Dennis was able to come to our house almost at a moment's notice, especially on a Friday and the beginning of a 3-day Memorial Day weekend. The cost was nominal, but Dennis providing so much satisfaction and ease to a potential problem. Kudos to Davis Plumbing in Fredericksburg, I would use them again in a heartbeat."
