In 2 1/2 hours they hooked up three new rooms, were very creative in threading the antenna wires through closets and under rugs so no holes were made in our walls and added a booster to our outside roof antenna. "I had hired an electrician in the past to replace an outside electrical box and was surprised to learn that the industry average for any home visit was a flat $300.  When I saw the Angie's List special $99 for $200 worth of work, I jumped on this great deal.  I only had two minor issues to resolve...I had recently replaced the light bulbs on the front porch lights and with a couple weeks one stopped working, I assumed there was a loose wire.  The tech removed the fixture and determined the connections were good and only needed to replace the bulbs.  And I had a light switch in the kitchen that was not working, the tech replaced the switch.  When the work was complete the tech told me that I exceeded the $200 worth of work and his flat fee for the work performed was $279, plus $5 for the switch.  I ended up paying an additional $84 for this deal.

"It went well, mostly.  The contractor made suggestions based on unforeseen issues, and it came together.  My only complaint is with the location of the fixtures.  In one bathroom I replaced one large single fixture with two fixtures and asked for them to be centered over the sinks.  Rather than centering each fixture over each sink, he centered them within the span of the sinks. Yikes!  I chalked it up to my instructions not being explicit enough.
