"My air ducts had never been cleaned, my house was built in the 1950's & my house was so dusty all the time. I would clean & dust & the next day it would look like I hadn't dusted in a week. No exaggeration!  After they left my house from cleaning the ducts,  I cleaned my house and 4 days later, my furniture does not look dusty like it did.
I am very impressed with their work, they were very reasonable, the best price I got from any other Air Duct Cleaning service in the area!  I couldn't ask for a more friendly,  professional service.  I could tell how honest of a business they were when I said I had read that you don't need your ducts cleaned for about 5 years. He promptly told me he recommends every 10 years unless something happens like a furnace goes bad and makes a mess through the duct system. A lot of businesses I have dealt with are not honest and have try to take advantage to make more money for them self.   I saw before and after pictures of the dirty to clean ducts. I would highly recommend Fresh Air Solutions.  I called him on Tuesday and he got me booked in 3 days!

"My AC had stopped working during the hottest weeks this year. I called another company to come and diagnose the problem and the guy that came out added Freon, stated I had a leak (could not find the leak) and said he would come out once AC season was over and cut my lines to see where this leak was. Two days later, my fan on the outside unit kept turning off and on rapidly. I called Mark at 4:30 that day and he was at my house by 5:30. Mark was amazing and kept me in the loop of everything he was doing. Mark ended up having to come a couple of days to make sure the job was done correctly. The guy that came previously contaminated the Freon and put too much in my system, which was why my fan was turning on and off. Too much Freon was hitting my kill switch in my outside unit. If I had not got it fixed, it would have done some damage to my new-ish unit. Mark fixed the levels, added dye and a chemical to stop the leak, and came back two days later to make sure everything was properly leaking. He was a wonderful guy to work with and very reasonable priced. I will definitely use him again for the future."

*** I have recently added the Nashville area to my service coverage. Since I can do most of my services remotely with you over the phone, I am hoping to eventually open up to larger markets and help people from having to take their computer in to get it fixed, if it has internet access, I can usually fix it over the Internet. Just trying to do more to help my Angies List customers!!******** I am a sole proprietor that works out of my home. I am my only employee, but I have over 20 years experience fixing computers, and providing superior customer service. I work on a flat rate service, and don't charge by the hour because I feel it's important to educate the customer on what the issue is/was, and how to avoid it in the future. I feel that local service companies (my competition) have been overcharging customers for years. I offer a first time customer discount of 10% but I will offer 15% off for first time customers referred by Angies List. I've lived in the Huntsville area most all my life, so I know the area very well. I will never use a subcontractor as I am very picky about making sure that if my name and company is associated with something, it will be the best experience my customer has ever had, and using sub contractors won't ensure that, so I prefer to do all the work myself. Lastly, I should point out that I am a former offensive lineman for the University of Southern Mississippi and was Brett Favre's center his freshman year at Southern. I went on to play for Tom Landry in his last year, but gave up pro football early on to pursue my passion of fixing computers. If I didn't have bills to pay, I would do this for free because I love it! If you have a computer problem, I promise you that you couldn't find a better technician that will care about you as a customer, and not about the bottom line. I am always available, but don't always answer my phone, but if you leave a message, I promise to back with you as soon as possible...and figure out how to get your issue resolved in a quick, efficient and economical manner. Thanks so much for reading my ad, and I look forward to working for you!

"We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal.  They showed up at the scheduled time, were polite & curtious, and acted professionally.  They cleaned our dryer vent as advertised, and went up on the roof to check the vents up there for obstructions.  All in all, a very good experience.  They did what they said they'd do, at the price they quoted.  We will call on them again, when the need arises.

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.

ACs don't run on water. They're not connected to drain pipes or any part of your plumbing system. However, they need refrigerant to run. Refrigerant is a gas or liquid that has a low boiling point and absorbs the heat in your home. ACs need this in order to be functional and cool your home. If you suspect your AC is low on refrigerant, you need to contact a licensed HVAC professional. Refrigerant is a dangerous chemical that requires specialized training and permits to work with.

While it's generally safe to stay in a home with a coolant leak if your home is properly ventilated, it's important to have a professional come out to assess the situation right away. You should evacuate your home if you notice any powerful fumes. Additionally, you should leave your home if you are experiencing headaches or dizziness.

Yes. In fact, not only are AC tuneups worth it, but they’re actually necessary to keep your air conditioner in good condition, improve its efficiency, and potentially prevent major damage. Experts recommend getting a tuneup at least once per year. In most cases, you’ll want to schedule it during the spring so that you can address any issues before the hottest months of the year.

The best way to compare HVAC quotes is getting a few detailed quotes from local companies with good reputations. Then, go over the quotes line by line. Protect yourself by insisting on in-person estimates that include equipment manufacturer names, model numbers, SEER ratings, amounts and numbers of materials, details of warranties on equipment and labor, and other specifics.

Knowing the exact equipment and materials is the only way that you can fairly compare quotes. Quotes that are much lower than others can be a sign that the company isn’t providing the best quality service or materials.
