"June 5 paid him 11,432.10 to start the project. He did not start until around June 23. Starting the first week he ran into problems with his subcontractors because he decided to change their pay and that got them very upset. To the point they were fussing and cussing in my house over the phone at him. And talking amongst their self as subcontractors cussing and fussing about what he was doing Work got put on hole more than four or five times in this process. He would always tell me one thing and no one will show up for days and then when it seem like they were trying to get their act together, they wouldn’t show up for days or a week before getting more information on what’s going on. He would say he was coming to the house so many times and not show up. They knocked out walls and pulled out my cabinets by electrical sockets also in the kitchen area does not work so I’m using a extension cord to plug in my appliance to cook and to use whatever I need in the kitchen. The wall that he took out, he said it’s not a low bearing wall, but after he took it out, the ceiling started to crack. He had to get someone over here to seal up the ceiling. I’ve reached out to him through the months of July and August and have had conversations that he has apologized that the people that he hired are not coming through. The last time I talked to him was the last week of August and he has not picked up my phone call or text message since. I went to the cabinet company and recorded my conversation with them and he has not talked to him since July 11, but I have text messages that he keeps telling me that they keep pushing the order back. My conversation with the company they said he has not paid them. They have not talked to them since July 11 so he lied and stole my money. On July 29, I paid him 10,288.89. Per his contract I paid him 50% upfront and then another 45% after 45 days and then I have about $1300 left to pay once he was supposed to complete the project.He has left my house in shambles. There are exposed wires with caps and nails as well. There are holes in the floor in the kitchen, dust and clumps of sheet rock all over the floor. He told me he was supposed to have a cleaning company come and take care of my couches in the house with the dust is all over and they never came other than cleaning a bathroom and left And I haven’t heard from him since that day. So I am also getting a lawyer because he has not finished the job and has not paid the company so that mean he’s stolen the money. 29th of September would be one month since I’ve heard from him. They also broke my lamp and damaged my living room couch areas, which I have to pay to get professionally cleaned."

"My wife and I have hired Showstopper Painting a total of four times. To say we are extremely satisfied feels like an understatement. We have a 40yr old Townhouse with aluminum siding. We selected a blue/gray exterior paint. Showstopper did a great job. We contracted them to paint the first floor and then the second floor. They painted everything ceilings, walls, baseboards, doors, door frames and window trim. They patched, puttied and sanded wall anchor holes, nail pops, drywall cracks and corner separations. The drywall repairs were flawless. The trim work (baseboards, window frames) cut in flawlessly. So, Why not do our deck. Our deck is somewhat complicated with built in seating. They taped it off with plastic. No Over spray and again flawless. Now, Show stopper does subcontract the work. Their Professional Supervisors were on site most of the day. If things were not done to their salinification, It was corrected, to the supervisors satisfaction and ours. This is not a 'two men & a brush' operation. During the four contracts they showed up early in the morning and were on site all day. Each of our 4 contracts took 2 days. Showstopper had a crew here, they worked all day and were on time. Karen from Showstopper was our contact. She had a great rapport with the subcontractors, oversaw their efforts and made corrections when necessary. All in all it was a great contractor experience having Showstopper Painting paint our home. We highly recommend Showstopper Painting and Karen to paint your home."
