"Highly recommend- professional, punctual and informative. Leonard walked me through his process and ensured that I was comfortable with the process. He had us up and ready to roll in no time. I will definitely work with Easter Sweeps on future projects!"

"Very well. The unit needed to be cleaned and Andrew took the time to explain a few things about it. That was extremely helpful."

We are a family owned business. Licensed and insured. We do repairs, renovations and new construction. We do residential as well as commercial. Repairs and small renovation jobs payment is due at time of service. Commercial job payments are stipulated in contract.

"It was a bit disappointing that the technician couldn't replace the joint without having to use a rubber connector. Also, the price for labor ($160/hr) was much higher than I had expected. And, since the technician didn't have the parts in his truck, which suprised me, I had to pay for the time required for him to drive to/from a parts depository. The entire job cost over $600 when I was expecting a charge of between $250-$300. The tech, however, was personable and attempted to explain the reason for the charges. I believe that their services might be more appropriate for businesses rather than residences."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The cost of repairing a gas leak depends on the type of leak, its severity, and how difficult it is for the repair technician to reach it. Some of the most common gas line repair costs, on average, include:

  • Cap a gas line: $75–$150

  • Gas system inspection: $150

  • Pressure test: $75–$500

  • Damaged or corroded pipe: $6–$7 per linear foot

  • Repair gas leak: $120–$5,000

The size of a pipe isn’t always the outside or inside diameter. Rather, it’s a nominal diameter that depends on the type of pipe. For male pipes, you’ll need to measure the outside diameter. For female pipes, you’ll need to measure the inside diameter. You’ll then need to use a nominal diameter conversion chart to get the actual pipe size you’d buy in the store.

Yes, it’s possible to cap a gas line yourself if you’re no longer using it or are simply going out of town for an extended period of time. It’s essential to follow the steps on properly capping a gas line yourself. If you’re uncomfortable with any of the steps, you may want to bring in a natural gas plumber for added reassurance.

Yes, you can have a gas line professionally installed to convert your traditional fireplace to natural gas; just know it’ll be an extra cost to budget for. The cost to run a gas line where you don’t already have one is about $540, though most homeowners pay between $260 and $820. Your total could be significantly higher if you don’t already have a main gas line running to your home.

Running a natural gas line costs between $260 and $820, with an average cost of $540. Gas line repairs cost between $15 and $25 per linear foot, and the cost depends on the type of fittings and connectors, the piping needed, and the mounting hardware. The pipe’s location also matters as it will take more time and labor to access underground pipes than aboveground pipes.
