"Stacys Cleaning Service did a Professional Job. The company was great. The Staff was professional and my wife and I are very pleased with the work they did. It was a Move In job. The windows and all the cleaning they did was superb. I would certainly recommend them to everyone."

"Michael did an excellent job cleaning our windows and screens. Our windows have not looked this good in years. He is very polite and was right on time to start the work. We are planning on using him again for some other home cleaning projects."

"Seth was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. He did a good job of cleaning my carpet and provided guidance on how to manage the space after the clean as well. All this at a very reasonable price. I would recommend his services to anyone who is looking to have their carpets cleaned."

Emergency services offered

"They had to come out twice to do cleaning as after the first attempt there were still many stains on furniture. There were still stains after second cleaning so maybe they were permanent. In the future, communicating that residual stains are probably permanent would change our perspective from the service being deficient to the stains being indelible."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You’ll often find mildew and soap scum in the same place, but they are very different substances. Mildew is a substance composed of living fungi, whereas soap scum is primarily an accumulation of mineral deposits. Mildew needs chronic moisture to thrive, while soap scum is unaffected by damp conditions (though it is a residue left behind by the water).

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

Acrylic tubs are easy to clean with simple items you already have around the house. You can use dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, cream of tartar, or borax to clean an acrylic bathtub. Avoid mixing any household cleaners, including common ingredients like vinegar and bleach, as this can create toxic fumes. It’s also best to start with a spot test of any cleaners you use.

You should clean the ashes from your wood stove at least once a week during the heating season to maintain efficiency and safety. Additionally, it's crucial to have a professional clean the chimney and flue annually to remove creosote buildup, which can pose a fire hazard and affect the stove's performance. Regular cleaning ensures optimal operation and reduces the risk of harmful emissions.

Professionals use advanced, eco-friendly products that ensure effective yet safe cleaning.
