"Wall oven burner not working and Baker's came in and quickly identified the problem and worked through the root cause and corrective actions to repair this issue.
This is the third time I've used them and I find them to be terrific.
Derrick was the tech and, again, terrific experience, he walked through and explained the problem in layman's terms.
Highly recommend.

"When they inspected my chimney they discovered that my chimney was was never rebuilt correctly, they took pictures that showed mortar was only partially applied and there were cracks . They filled in and sealed what was needed. They also advised me to have my chimney cleaned after burning a cord of word. They offered a warranty on their work and will keep a record of what was done with the pictures. I was pleased especially after I have had more the a few companies clean my chimney and even had one iinstall an insert and no one ever mentioned the condition of my chimney.

"The items shipped were all in working order. The items were easily installed via a sticky tape attached to all the sensors. Some, like the motion detector, were just placed on a flat surface;ie. fireplace mantle. All worked correctly. The remote door sensors are great;I use them to turn off / on the alarm system before entering or after leaving the house. The control unit besides handling the security system , displays local weather - which is handy."

"It worked out well. I had the bricks and I had the mortar. They came and mixed up the mortar and chiseled out the bricks that were coming loose on the house. I provided the supplies they had the labor and the skill. I didn't call any other companies to compare price. I don't know what the other costs would be. They were here right on time."

"We had Brick Solutions come out and give us an estimate on pouring an initial pad for our patio. Mr. Walls came out and was very professional and communicated every step of the process to us. He kept us fully involved in the process from start to finish. Because the work was exceptional and the price was the very competitive with the other contractors we decided to have Brick Solutions back out to finish out custom paver walk way from our house to the patio. While doing the work (at an exceptional level yet again) my wife begged me to have them finish an additional paver walk way to our pool. With Mr. Walls's extraordinary skill set, professionalism, and dedication to keep us 100% in the loop I decided to have him finish the job. Expecting it would be a few more weeks before he could come back out and finish, I was surprised when he was able to finish the entire project ahead of schedule. Many thanks to the fine folks at Brick Solutions Inc. They are awesome."

"They were good and quick. The only issue was that they were little rough when they removed the vent covers to clean behind there. They ripped some of the molding and ripped the wallboard a little bit, so we had to fix that ourselves. They were gone before I realized it. They were quick and they explained what they were doing. The price was good. They did have the right equipments. I would use their services again in the future."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

The best location for a wood stove depends on your home's layout and venting options. For optimal heat distribution, a central location on the ground floor, such as the living room, is often recommended. If you have an existing, functional chimney, installing the stove there can simplify the venting process. Alternatively, placing the stove near an outside wall can make it easier to route a new chimney through the roof. For safety, ensure no combustible materials are near the stove. Building codes typically require 20 to 36 inches of clearance between the stove and any side walls.

Installing a fireplace insert can get you more heat without replacing the whole fireplace and chimney. Other benefits include their convenience (you can turn them on and off with a simple flip of a switch), safety (most models have built-in sensors that will turn off the fireplace if they detect carbon monoxide), a modern aesthetic, and superior energy efficiency.

A chimney requires both a cover and a cap, but these parts often get confused with one another. A chimney cover seals the top of the chimney around the flue pipe to prevent water from entering the chimney. A chimney cap is a piece that sits above the flue to prevent animals, debris, and water from entering the flue.

Handbuilt masonry fireplaces are likely what comes to mind when we think about curling up by the fire at the end of the day. But bricks in the firebox and chimney tend to be heavy, which is not ideal for homes with weak or damaged foundations.

Prefabricated fireboxes come with a full flue and chimney system, significantly reducing the price and installation time. However, if you need to replace the panels down the line, you are locked into the same model or something very similar.

The average life span of a thermoelectric fan operating seasonally is two to three years. However, the life span of a wood stove fan depends on its quality, usage, and maintenance. Regular cleaning of the blades and ensuring the fan operates within its recommended temperature range can help prolong its life span.
