"Alex ran this project as well and got help from Chris and his crew to zero scape my front yard. Rocks, 2 flower beds, and a long bush/tree bed. With some boulders. Its beautiful and no more yard work. They simultaneously did my driveway and my yard in 3 days 6 hours. It was so awesome! This company rocks it like no other."

"Edgar and his team did such an incredible job and I would highly recommend their services to anyone with landscaping needs. My yard was full of weeds and needed extensive clean up before any Landscaping services could be done. They worked quickly and efficiently to remove all the yard waste, and within two days my lawn looked absolutely incredible! They went above and beyond to clean up weeds in other areas of my yard, and put down gravel and mulch in those areas to keep weeds from growing back. While it may be less expensive initially to lay concrete vs. pavers, the long-term expenses that come with repairing concrete may prove to be less cost-friendly than simply replacing a few damaged pavers. On top of that, stamped concrete may only last for 25 years compared to pavers, which can last over 50 years.

The best way to stop your pavers from sinking is to ensure you've properly compacted the base layers. Use your paver compactor and work over the base layer several times to create the hardest possible base. If the soil and sand of your base are compact, you’ll experience less shifting and sinking.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues. 

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. This permit costs between $50 and $300 in most cases. Most municipalities will also require a certified and insured contractor do the work relating to the apron and curb cut. You can contact your building department or ask your paving company if you need a permit. Your driveway professional will usually pull the permit for you.
