Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.

It is possible to DIY complete hardscaping projects, but in most cases, hiring a professional is best to get the job done correctly. If the foundation is solid and the damage is minor, resurfacing is your best bet because it’s more affordable and faster than replacing the driveway.
