"The deal on Angie's list stated that wires would be "dressed." To me this means that the wires would be covered. There were wires sticking out all over and was extremely unsightly. I had to pay an additional fee to "dress the wires." When that was completed, it looked much much better. Unfortunately, the pictures below show how it looks now. Some wires are still exposed and the paint was chipped."

"Bob went above and beyond the service I originally hired him to do. I had another problem with my computer which I created but he came to my rescue and he did not even charge me for the additional service"

"I was impressed with the general electrical knowledge of the person and the fact that he didn't launch into an immediate upsell to completely rewire the house. The cost of the job was less than others quoted for the same work, and the quality was the tops. Finally (and this is really a minor point) my dogs liked him and my bird, a good judge of character, approved of him. I would hire this contractor again"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

After electrical work in Roosevelt, promptly schedule any required inspections and keep all permits and documentation for future reference. Test new circuits and outlets to ensure proper function, and update your electrical panel directory to reflect changes. Register warranties for new equipment and notify your home insurance provider about significant upgrades to maintain coverage and ensure your records are current.

Helpful?

In Roosevelt, electrical projects vary in duration based on complexity and home size. Panel upgrades are typically finished within 1–2 days, while whole house rewiring may take 3–7 days. Smaller electrical repairs, such as installing outlets or switches, are often completed in a few hours. Seasonal factors like winter weather can extend timelines, especially for outdoor electrical work or projects requiring exterior access.

Helpful?

Regular maintenance in Roosevelt includes inspecting electrical panels annually for rust or pest activity, especially after harsh winters. Test GFCI and AFCI outlets monthly, and check outdoor outlets and fixtures twice a year for weather damage. Replace surge protectors every few years and ensure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working by changing batteries annually to keep your home’s electrical system reliable.

Helpful?

Completing electrical upgrades in Roosevelt enhances safety by reducing fire risks and preventing outages during severe weather. Improved lighting and additional outlets support modern appliances and electronics, while upgraded wiring increases energy efficiency. These improvements also boost home value and comfort, ensuring your household can safely enjoy reliable power, better climate control, and greater convenience year-round.

Helpful?

In Roosevelt, frequent breaker trips, dimming or flickering lights, buzzing sounds, or a burning odor from outlets usually signal electrical issues needing professional attention. Outdated wiring or warm switch plates are also warning signs. If you notice water leaks near electrical components or HVAC malfunctions, address those systems first, as moisture or mechanical issues can mimic or cause electrical problems.
