Small jobs welcome

"David has taken care of my residence twice now after a few years of collecting and gathering dust. Everything from mattresses to sporting goods to water softener and rugs. Always shows up on time always calls when he’s a little behind very kind and polite and professional. Some of my heavier/ bulky items are costly to dispose yet he is very fairly priced. I know the other guys charge a lot more. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the service he provided and the price ! Thank you David !"

"We recently hired Mountain Creek Iron L.L.C. to demolish an old shed in our backyard, and they did an absolutely fantastic job! From start to finish, they were highly professional, efficient with reasonable price. Not only did they tear down the shed and leave the area perfectly neat and tidy, but they also went above and beyond by hauling away some extra trash and green waste in our backyard. We are so grateful for their hard work and will definitely be using their services again in the future. If you need any demolition or hauling work done, look no further!"

"Eli and crew have been fantastic. He understood our repair needs and was mindful of our input. He’s highly responsive, goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. He stands behind his work and makes sure you’re good to go. We had a tough job that the “big companies” didn’t want to touch. Eli solved it, came up with solutions and delivered in every way. Thanks for your work fixing our leak that was blocked by the deck! You nailed it (and sealed it, wrapped it, repaired it, and prevented it!) ;-)"

"Katie did a wonderful job. She was professional and friendly and her work was very thorough. She has a system where she meets with you before hand and goes over everything with you beforehand. This cleaning allowed me to finally have a weekend together with my partner and celebrate spring in peace."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

It’s not difficult to dispose of wood pellet ash, but you should always let it cool completely before disposal to avoid it sparking a fire. If you’ve got an energy-efficient pellet stove, there shouldn’t be much to empty from the ash box, anyway. However, once the ash has cooled, you might consider composting it or simply adding it to your garden or plant soil. The ash is full of minerals, not chemicals, so it’s a wonderful fertilizer for grass and plants.

The cost to tear down a garage averages $2,000 to $10,000. You might consider this option if your existing garage is damaged beyond repair or if you have grand renovation ideas that are best suited to a fresh build. In some cases, tearing down and rebuilding a garage is more cost effective than adding an extension.

There are several ways to dispose of excess sod, including building a compost pile, taking it to a green waste disposal facility, donating the sod, or reusing it in another part of your yard. It’s a good idea to check with your local municipality to see how to get rid of yard waste, as some areas have local regulations on what can go in the green waste bin. For example, your recycling services may reject too much soil added to green waste.

Plan on cleaning your crawl space at least once a year, though twice a year is ideal. During the cleaning, remove any debris or dust and check for potential issues like pest infestations or water damage. The sooner you catch these issues, the easier (and cheaper) it will be to fix them.

Free junk removal isn’t always available unless you’ve got some really great friends to help you haul stuff away. While private companies will charge a fee, some charities and local cities will offer free junk removal services for specific items and volume limits. Speak with your local town offices for trusted organizations.
