"They had to Jack hammer part of bathroom floor at the tub to access drain. The entire drain system was encased in 8 inches of concrete. They removed concrete and installed all new drainage system. Did the job fast and clean. Wore booties on their shoes. Very professional."

"Mike was tremendous. Our Rheem water heater gave out and needed to be replaced. But Mike saw that the water heater was still under warranty by Rheem. Mike made a phone call on our behalf to Rheem, got us a replacement heater for free, then just charged us for installation and warranty."

"I called to make an appointment for someone to check out my AC unit.  It was not blowing any cold air, and was 89 degrees inside.  They said they were booked but would have a service tech come by before the end of day.  Sam called to say he was on his way and arrived at 5:00pm.  After working all day in 97 degree  heat, he was cheerful and very professional.  He tested everything and determined that the AC compressor was gone.  I decided to replace the entire unit.  Sam called an evaluator to confirm the size of the unit needed.  Chris called and showed up at 7:30pm to go over my options.  Once that was done, he scheduled the install for Wednesday the 27th at 8:30am.  Bryan arrived at 8:30am and explained his process.  He wore protective shoe covers whenever he was in the house.  He place drop clothes on all carpet areas.  He was very friendly and professional.  He took extra time to seal areas  in the ducts that were leaking air, and replace a water condensation pump at no extra charge.  He finished late in the afternoon and went over the operation of the new unit.  Everything is working perfectly.  Thank you very much."

"DML and his crew are amazing! I had a big project for them for my basement . They had to completely replace the subfloor of a large room and reinforce some of the crumbling infrastructure with a new retaining wall. They gutted, expanded, and remodeled the bathroom with new tile, sink, toilet, vent and fan, everything! I've already recommended them to two other people. Also, their prices are very reasonable."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Wall-mounted faucets are installed 6 to 8 inches above the countertop. The height you choose is very significant because the wrong choice will lead to a faucet that splashes water everywhere. Your installer should have a good recommendation based on your sink type, size, and shape. A good installer will ensure the sink is comfortable and splash-free.

The standard kitchen sink size is typically 22 inches by 30 inches. However, kitchen sinks are available in a wide range of sizes to fit different kitchens, commonly from 25 to 39 inches long, though you can find even larger or custom sizes. When choosing a replacement, the easiest option is to select a sink that matches your existing one's dimensions. If you decide to install a larger sink, you will need to enlarge the cutout in your countertop; be sure to use the template that comes with the new sink to ensure a proper fit. Installing a smaller sink can be more complex, as it may require replacing the entire countertop.

Yes, it’s necessary to have a sink drain stopper. While your sink will still work without a stopper, a stopper is necessary to keep things other than water from going down into your pipes and potentially clogging them. It prevents plumbing problems by keeping out unwanted debris and objects like hair, soap, toothpaste, dirt, and jewelry.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

Yes, you can use flexible pipe for a sink drain. Flexible pipes can make it easier to fit sink plumbing together with less measuring and fewer cuts. However, corrugated flexible pipe can trap hair, grease, and food particles in the folds and cause foul odors and eventually build up enough to clog the drain. Smooth pipes are recommended for sink drains and plumbing.
