"We hired Bradley Evans to work on our patio, doing a few things including some much needed painting, re screening a screen door and installing a ceiling fan. He did a spectacular job! He showed up on time, communicated with us very well and finished quicker than we thought and went above and beyond our expectations! I would recommend Cranston and specifically Bradley to anyone."

"Prompt, professional, friendly service to install two new ceiling fans and a dining room light fixture including removing old fixtures at an excellent price in a very timely manner. Extremely satisfied with the technical expertise of the skilled electrician, Jake. I am already planning three new jobs for him to come back and complete for me. Outstanding experience all-around. Highly recommend."

"DML and his crew are amazing! I had a big project for them for my basement . They had to completely replace the subfloor of a large room and reinforce some of the crumbling infrastructure with a new retaining wall. They gutted, expanded, and remodeled the bathroom with new tile, sink, toilet, vent and fan, everything! I've already recommended them to two other people. Also, their prices are very reasonable."

"A++ When all was lost and the bathroom was caving into the basement DT came up with ingenious solutions that saved the bathroom and even made it possible for my invalid mother to bathe. DT’s follow through and tenacity was beyond measure. I have never met a more determined person to see a job through to it’s successful completion with the care, kindness, & honesty he has shown. When he says he will do something, he is a man of his word with no excuses! I feel so blessed we were lucky enough to have him do our job. God knew what he was doing when he sent him to us. This would have been a very difficult job via long distant/absentee instructions & I can’t thank him enough!"

"I received a bathroom, laundry and utility room that looks great.  Reed was able to utilize every available square inch available in the very limited space.  He had to break up concrete and move several pipes to accomplish this task.  He moved pipes into the wall to improve the overall appearance of the room.  I was expecting a cramped bathroom next to the laundry room.  He spent considerable
amount of time designing a layout to maximize the space.  The bathroom doesn't look cramped at all.  Reed was able to fit a 36" shower into the bathroom.  I am very pleased on how the new room looks.  I would highly recommend Reed Jessee.  I rehired Reed to install cabinets in the laundry room.

"Great company to work with! Easy to communicate with and very prompt with services. I am impressed with the overall design of the patio. We were worried about the safety of a large step down and SSCK was great to create a safe and attractive design that fit our needs. Would definitely hire again!!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

You should generally avoid using WD-40 on a ceiling fan. While it might quiet a squeak temporarily, it is primarily an anti-corrosion and water displacement agent, not a true lubricant, and can damage the fan's components over time. Most modern ceiling fans have sealed bearings and do not require oiling, so a squeak may indicate another issue. For fans that do require lubrication, it is better to use a light machine oil, 30-weight motor oil, or a lubricant specifically designed for ceiling fans.

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.
