"Incredibly responsive- came out and gave me a quote same day and got me scheduled for that Monday. The Fall cleanup these guys did in my yard was fantastic, they worked so efficiently and hauled off so many bags of my leaves. Definitely planning on having them back to help with Fall clean up next year!"

"Fransico and his team did an excellent job. Their bid was very competitive and well-priced. They took out our existing grass, set up a drip sprinkler system, installed rock, and put in a paver walking path. His team worked quickly but did a very nice job. I was highly impressed with the paver walkway. It needed to be curved, which is not easy, and they nailed it. Looks great. Francisco communicated well and often. I am very excited to see our front yard now. I would use them again for another project."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s acceptable to water the lawn in very hot weather, but you should try to water between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. for best results. However, watering when the temperature is above 95 degrees is ineffective. If you’re concerned about whether to water your lawn during extreme heat, consult a local lawn care professional who can recommend a watering schedule based on your grass type and climate.

You should not water your lawn every day, even in hot weather. For most lawns, watering one to three times per week is sufficient. It is best to water during a drought or when temperatures are high, but avoid watering in the middle of the day or if the temperature exceeds 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The extreme heat will cause the water to evaporate before the soil can fully absorb it. The best time to water is in the early morning at dawn or in the early evening (between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.) when the temperature is cooler.

In general, cool-season grasses such as fescue grass, ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass are best for creating a striped lawn. Warm-season grasses like bermuda and zoysia grass don't curl as much, so grass stripes aren't as easy to see. If you live in a climate that’s better suited for warm-season grass, zoysia grass will typically be your best option.

Many homeowners in warmer climates like this resilient, hearty grass because it can tolerate excessive heat and drought while developing into a lush lawn. Unlike other grasses, Bermuda grass grows and spreads quickly and can withstand excessive foot traffic. But whether Bermuda grass is good for lawns may depend on your geographic location, as this grass has a low tolerance for cooler temperatures, which causes it to go dormant and turn brown in the winter months.

Yes, especially for properties focusing on curb appeal. A well-maintained landscape supports visual and environmental attractiveness, potentially increasing desirability.
