Hello all and thank you for your interest in working with A-Train. I do all sorts of around the house handyman tasks. Some things that I have done in the past are changing/wiring electrical sockets, painting, trimming doors, installing cameras, cleaning gutters, window cleaning, furniture assembly, TV mounting, and so much more. Basically if it’s a household task I’ve probably done it. I also am a welder and have access to welding and cutting equipment. Most of my welding work has been industrial, but I can do small jobs for people who don’t have access to a welder. Some of these would be fixing metal handrails, fixing gates, hard facing lawn mower blades, tool repair, and other one person welding jobs. My goal is to serve the customer in a professional and quick time frame, for a reasonable cost. I will give free estimates, and have senior and military discounts. "I saw an average high window review when I selected them but should have looked at all the available reviews out there. Should have checked google reviews. I regret that I didn't check closely. It took more than 1 year to finish 7 windows. project $14,200, and for that price I would expect perfect/flawless completion. it took 4 months or so from when we signed contract and paid downpayment before the first 6 windows were completed, but the 7th was broken in shipment. rather than expediting this order, we waited till it was september again to finally get it. but the other part of our ticket involved the screens for our sliding windws. The molding that goes between these windows was missing on one of the windows, and the one they provided for our other is whilte. They pressured me to pay the rest of the outstanding balance today so I did. and have no recourse except to write these reviews to get it resolved. They don't care about their customers I'd be willing to change my value if/when they make my order right. I have photos. I don't see anythihng so far in the review process to post my photos."

Various types of deadbolts are available, from the classic single-cylinder lock to a double-cylinder, rim deadbolt, smart deadbolt, and electronic deadbolt lock. Most homes in the U.S. use a single-cylinder deadbolt lock, which requires a key on the exterior and only a thumb turn on the interior to open or close the lock. 

A door jamb is one component of a door frame. Door frames usually comprise three door jambs, including two side jambs, aka vertical planks, and one head jamb that sits along the top of the frame horizontally. 

Barrier doors or screen doors are ideal for bringing in summer breezes without letting in pesky flies and mosquitoes. But these types of doors aren’t as secure as a security door, which is installed with permanent screws into the home’s walls and often have deadbolts or other heavy-duty lock mechanisms for better security.

You can often fit a new door slab into an old frame as long as the frame’s in decent shape. The frame needs to be solid, square, and free of warping or rot. The new door has to match the old one in width, height, and thickness, and the hinge and knob placements need to line up or be adjusted carefully. However, if your frame is damaged, swapping just the door won’t cut it. In that case, replacing the entire unit would be the best move for a smooth, secure installation.

There are certainly perks to hiring a general contractor, but we recommend a closet professional. The reason is that their pricing may make more sense for your project. General contractors tend to search out bigger projects, and because of this, will attach a premium to smaller amounts of work. A closet pro may also have access to a wider range of materials than general contractors (and may be able to negotiate better discounts).
