"Humprheys was subcontracted by another company that is working on my garage. First appointment had to be rescheduled due to me. Reschedule with no problems. Danny and James showed up on time and got the install done in one day. Work looks great, furnace performs as expected. I would hire them again next time I need work done."

"I highly recommend Utah Climate Pros! Our furnace died during the coldest week of the winter. They fit us in right away, gave us the best price (we got multiple bids), and did the job quickly and well. They even filed for our credit from the utility companies for us, so we didn't have to deal with it."

"John inspected our furnace, he was very professional and did a very thorough job but encountered an unusual and difficult to diagnose situation. John immediately called an expert with 35 years experience and arranged for him to come to our home the same afternoon. We appreciate John's honesty and how courteous he was. Norman was extremely knowledgeable and was able to diagnose our unique problem which came from improper installation of equipment by the home's builder. Every detail was explained and he had specialized equipment which allowed us to see and understand the problem. Norm is an asset to be sure. Todd - Even though it was after hours, Todd came to our home that same evening. After a careful analysis our home he gave us multiple options to resolve the problem, full explaining every detail. Todd was thoughtful, thorough and very helpful. Together we found a solution for our needs. We appreciated the concern shown by all three of these professionals. A+"

"I called them because of a problem with my furnace. The man that answered was professional and courteous. I told him the problem, and he stated that I could fix it myself !!!! Really !!!! He told me I could save the money and he told me exactly how to make the repair. When I described what the problem was he knew just what I had to do and I had my heating up and running in 15 minutes !!!

"

Michael was a very responsive professional with all of  my questions before he did the job,  along with a very professional installation.  He removed and recycled and old dish washer and installed a new one  in my 82 year old Mother's home and she was very pleased with his service, also.  She even commented that Michael went above and beyond and  how wonderful it was to have a service provider who cleaned up after himself!   We/I would not hesitate to use his service again.

"Mike helped with our bathroom replacing the shower and another drain issue in the house. He was very professional, he paid great attention to detail. He was informative about different options to help with our decisions. We are very happy with the work and how he went about his work. I definitely recommend and will hire him again. I already scheduled a hot water replacement."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The cost-efficiency of baseboard heaters depends on the type and how you use them. Generally, standard electric baseboard heaters can be expensive to run because they use electric resistance heating, which is less energy-efficient than systems like forced-air or heat pumps. However, hydronic and gas versions are typically much cheaper to operate. Hydronic models are more energy-efficient because they heat a liquid that retains warmth longer, preventing the thermostat from turning on and off as often. The overall running cost is also influenced by local electricity rates, your home's insulation, and your usage habits. To increase efficiency, you can use baseboard heaters for zoning, meaning you only heat the specific rooms you are using.

The cost of propane and related services varies depending on tank size and location but generally ranges from $500 to $2,500 for installation and initial fill.

The primary differences between a heat pump and a boiler are their function and how they produce heat. A heat pump is a versatile system that provides both heating and cooling by moving ambient air and altering its temperature. In contrast, a boiler is solely a heating system, often working with a furnace or AC unit as part of a larger HVAC system. In terms of heat production, a heat pump generates heat more slowly and at a lower temperature, requiring a large convector for distribution. A boiler, however, produces a large amount of high-temperature heat that it emits through smaller radiators.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.

Yes, government incentives and programs are available to encourage energy-efficient upgrades in many regions. These incentives may include tax credits, rebates, grants, and low-interest loans for homeowners who invest in energy-efficient improvements such as HVAC system upgrades, insulation, and efficient windows. The availability and specific details of these incentives can vary by location, so check with your local government or utility company to explore your options.
