"The installers for Aqua Mechanical were thorough and meticulous in their installation and did a great job explaining everything to me. They were also willing to work with me to let me do a little bit of pre-work prior to their arrival to save myself some money. I had them install the salt brine tank in the garage with a tube running down to the basement so that I can load up the 40 lbs salt bags into the brine tank in the garage which is super convenient! They installed both the water heater and the softener in a metal tray with 2 inch sides which has a 2 inch pipe drain going to the floor drain just in case there is a water leak. Plus they provided a water sensor alarm to make sure if there’s any water in the tray we’ll hear an audible alarm to bring it to our attention. Beneath that tray they installed a 1 inch closed cell foam pad to stop any heat from transferring from the water heater into the cement floor.
