"Marion showed up right on time to do our backyard concrete patio. The work was professional and after the job was finished a sealer needed to be put on in 3-4 weeks. I paid him in full knowing he would have to come back to complete the job with the concrete sealer. He did come back today and the sealer was applied, it looks great!! We are very pleased with this company... So Five Stars for Little Sands Construction LLC !! :)"

"Nataneal & his crew did an amazing job of adding dimension to our existing brick. It completely changed the aesthetic. His work was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I would hire him again (and I have already)."

Patios questions, answered by experts

If you want to hire a professional to build a screened-in porch, a local sunroom or porch contractor is your best bet. If you can't find a local sunroom builder, another option is to consider hiring a general contractor to perform the work.

If you're handy, you may consider building the porch yourself. Before you do so, make sure you understand the local permit requirements and building codes so that you don't have any problems with the safety or structure of the porch.

Yes, with custom measurements ensuring perfect fit and function.

There are many materials to choose from, including picket fencing, wood slats, galvanized metal skirting, dog-ear fence panels, scallop wood fence panels, bamboo screens, and other decorative screens. You can search for materials at local big box stores like Home Depot or scour online home improvement sites. Good search terms to use are fencing, skirting, and privacy panels.

A deck is typically attached to a house and accessed via the back door. Decks are usually constructed from wood or composite materials. A terrace, on the other hand, is a raised platform that can be attached to or detached from the house and is typically made from a hard-paved material, such as paving stones. Terraces can be built on the ground or on the roof of a home.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.
