"Francisco Sr. and Jr. Both did a professional and excellent job on my 13' x 39' concrete patio. Always kept me updated and in contact prior to, during, and after the job was finished. Amazing what the two of them were able to do, really knows their stuff. Hard workers and very friendly. Thanks to both of you guys. Keep up the great work."

"Showed up on time. Let you know everything he was doing. Was able to install drain system. Did a good job of sloping and finishing . Very personable. Hard worker. Didnâ t stand around or take breaks. Was able to finish in a relatively short amount of time considering having to remove and haul 25,000 lbs of old patio concrete."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes, a pressure washer uses less water than a garden hose. There are many ways to use a pressure washer, and it can be an eco-friendly hose substitute. While a pressure washer expels water with greater force, it uses 50% to 70% less water than a garden hose. Specifically, hoses put out six to 10 gallons per minute (GPM), while pressure washers only use two to five GPM.

Combined with a cleaning agent, pressure washers and power washers are highly effective at removing driveway stains. However, these machines are not gentle, putting your driveway at risk of damage. Instead of renting a power washer yourself, ask a professional pressure washer for a consultation.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

Experts typically recommend pressure washing your driveway at least once per year to keep it looking great while preventing stains, cracks, and unwanted vegetation. However, if your driveway gets a lot of use, you might want to pressure wash it more often to keep it looking like new.

Concrete does well with a number of cleaning agents, as it’s a durable material. Choose from acidic cleaners, alkaline cleaners, and pH-neutral cleaners, in addition to antibacterial solutions. Your best bet is to simply read the fine print with your preferred detergent and make sure it mentions concrete as a viable surface.
