"Chris did what’s called Venetian plaster on my fireplace. He did an incredible job. I had my home remodeled and the first thing everyone comments on when they want to see the remodel is my fireplace. They all love it, and so do I! I highly recommend Chris. He does beautiful work."

"This was a great experience. The quality of work done by John and his crew was top notch. He has been in the business for a very long time, and knows how to do things quick, and does not compromise on quality. I will use him for any of future painting needs, as his quality is amazing, and his prices are great for the result you get."

"We hired Deon to paint the interior of our condo in PG. The condo was old and needed lots of work. Deon painted the entire inside of the condo including the kitchen cabinets. He also painted the interior of our garage and we had him epoxy the floor in the garage. Deon does amazing work. He wants to ensure that the end result exceeds expectations. The condo looks amazing and we had no concerns as Deon was great at communication and taking feedback and making sure everything was pristine. I wish our other contractors had the same level on integrity and ethics. I would highly recommend Deon and All in Painting. He also helped us understand some concerns on the work that other contractors were doing so we could intelligently speak with them in order to ensure we were not taken advantage of. We have already recommended him to good friends."

"We highly recommend Precision Painting and Remodeling! Brett and Jenna are the embodiment of their company name, Precision painting! The precision with which they painted our home was extraordinary! I am a perfectionist and Brett and Jenna exceeded my expectations by far. Their attention to detail is rare by today's standards. The respect they showed for our garden, especially the shrubs and flower beds where they worked is extremely appreciated. Brett and Jenna are very hardworking young people. Our home and garage doors look amazing after their work! We will definitely use them again for future projects, and have been recommending them to our neighbors."
The homeowner chose a beautiful rustic inspired stain color. This gave the outdoor space a wonderful facelift.
We added wanes coat below and changed the entire color scheme!

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, paint thinner can damage some surfaces. Specifically, it can cause a lot of damage to laminate flooring if applied incorrectly.

This factor depends on exactly how much paint you remove from your hardwood floors. If it’s just a few small, hardly noticeable spots, refinishing won’t be necessary. However, if you completely strip your floors of paint, you will likely need to sand and finish them.

Lead removal is crucial in older homes to eliminate risks of lead poisoning, which can severely affect health, particularly in children, by impacting development and cognitive functions.

To remove paint from brick with vinegar, you can use the vinegar in much the same way you would paint stripper. However, vinegar needs significantly more time to soak into the paint. Apply the vinegar with a spray bottle, let it soak in, then scrub the paint's surface.

Yes, you can paint over old exterior paint, but success depends on the condition of the existing paint and proper surface preparation. If the previous coating is in good shape (not cracked, peeling, or flaky), you can paint over it with less prep work. However, for the most durable and professional-looking results, follow these key preparation steps:

  • Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the exterior to remove all dirt, grime, and mildew. A pressure washer can be very effective for this.

  • Scrape and Sand: If the old paint is peeling, cracked, or flaky, you must scrape off all loose paint. After scraping, sand the surface to create a smooth, even base for the new paint. Sanding is especially important for wood siding.

  • Apply Primer: Using a quality exterior primer is highly recommended. It ensures the new paint adheres properly, improves durability, and provides a uniform finish. If you are painting a lighter color over a dark one, a tinted primer will help cover the old color more effectively.

Some brands offer paint-and-primer-in-one products for convenience. Taking the time to prepare the surface properly will not only increase your home's curb appeal but also help protect your siding and extend its life.
