"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

"I have moved a few times now and will only use Green Day moving. not only are they quick and efficient, but they’re careful and organized. They tightly pack, secure and protect everything. I have never had any damage or issues during a move using this company. they help me set up bed frames, entertainment centers, and bigger things in my home and aren’t so eager to just drop off and leave. Their prices are fair and their work ethic is unmatched if you or someone you know is moving I highly consider going with this company if you want that move to be easy and fun."

"My move across country with Sandra and KJ of All My Sons Moving Salt Lake City was over and above a great experience! They both work well together and independently in very professional manner! The items I moved were handled with care and when placed on the truck, they were secured and didnâ t move as I witnessed the unloading of them. All items shipped were accounted for and in excellent condition. Sandra is a long-hauler that deserves more than that fancy pink moving truck :). She is AWESOME! KJ, her partner is excellent at his job, respectful and professional! I would highly recommend and request Sandra and KJ for future moves, for which I am planning in the near future! A++++++"

"My moving experience with Mighty Butlers was fantastic. Two guys with a big, clean truck arrived on time and ready to work. They patiently and strategically moved everything from a 3-story house on a snowy winter day, working quickly, but carefully. They disassembled some furniture to navigate it around the stairs, and then reassembled it in its new home across town. They were personable and friendly, and totally professional. They made a stressful day that I'd been worried about a happy experience. I've already recommended them to others."

Moving questions, answered by experts

To prepare furniture for moving, detach furniture legs if possible. If the legs must stay on, wrap them with foam wrap or taped blankets to help prevent damage. You can also buy dedicated moving “socks” for furniture legs.

It depends on your policy, but you may be covered for any damages to your personal property. How much you receive will depend on the circumstances under which property was damaged and if you can prove it was damaged during the incident on the road. Your insurance company may also only cover the cost to repair any items, and not outright replace them. Checking in with your insurance provider will help you get a clearer picture of your overall coverage.

To pack mugs securely for a move, start by lining the bottom of a moving box with padded packing material like bubble wrap. Wrap each mug individually, tucking the ends of the bubble wrap inside the mug for a snug fit. For extra protection, consider using a moving box with built-in slots to keep the mugs separated.

When placing the mugs in the box, pack them tightly enough to prevent them from shifting, but not so tightly that they are under pressure. Fill any empty gaps between the mugs with additional packing material. To keep the box from becoming too heavy, it's best to pack no more than 10 mugs per box. Finally, be sure to label the box as “fragile” so movers know to handle it with care.

It's less expensive to drive your car than to ship it a short distance. The cost of shipping an automobile increases per mile for short trips, making it a less attractive option for your wallet. However, long-distance car shipping, especially on an open trailer or train, is typically less expensive than hotels, food, fuel, and other costs during a DIY move.

Moving a house is a complex and labor-intensive process, which is why it can get so pricey, particularly if it’s a large home. In some cases, the house may need to be dismantled, moved in sections, and then reassembled at the new location, which can add significantly to the cost of the move. However, it’s typically less costly than building a new home.
