"This company is AWESOME! We have a door that was originally installed around 1998 and we have been fighting with it to open and close on a daily basis. Our neighbors recommended James and his company. We called him and he came and found out what kind of parts were needed, ordered them and then installed them! I can open and close this door with just one finger! We are so happy and will recommend him to everyone we know! THANK YOU!!!"

"Brandon was wonderful! I had a rain gutter falling off my house and could not find anyone to fix it. Then Brandon answered the call. He came by (Apple Valley) after working in St.Geo. it was getting late, sun going down but he showed up. Did a great job. I was so relieved to finally get that fixed. And what a great guy! Enjoyed talking with him. Thanks so much, Kay"

"Dale McElroy was responsive in picking up our initial call, accommodating in scheduling times for the initial visit to scope the job and likewise when it came to fixing the appointment about three weeks later for the final installation step after we purchased the doors, one of which was a custom order due to the narrow width of the patio entrance.  He was very down-to-earth in telling us the facts of what could be done given the shape of our doorways, implications of the door style options we could choose and what we could expect him to do.  We were impressed with Dale's attention to detail in how he completed the door installations and in particular his craftmanship in designing-executing the build-out stage.  He worked for about eight hours straight on the job and yet did not leave until he'd "tuned" the closing parameters of the doors, cleaned the storm door glass, and cleared the work site of debris/empty boxes.  We appreciated his staying true to the pre-job bid proposal and for providing us copies of the receipt for materials which he'd purchased specific for our door installation job."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

Door Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, but adding a deadbolt to some door materials, like steel, may make installation a little bit trickier. For these materials, you will want to hire a locksmith to do the work for you, but be aware that they may charge an additional fee of $25 to $50 or more.

Most of the time, constant use will loosen the mounting screws on your doorknob and cause it to loosen away from the door. While this can be annoying, the solution is quick and simple. If you have exposed mounting bolts, simply tighten them with a screwdriver, being sure not to overtighten and bind up the turning mechanism. For doorknobs without visible mounting bolts, first pry off the rose mounting plate or unscrew the set screw before removing it.

There are no strict rules for who is responsible for covering repair costs after a home inspection, as the issue is highly negotiable, except in cases of mandatory repairs. Major issues discovered during the inspection often lead to a renegotiation. The buyer might ask the seller to make the repairs as a condition of the sale, but it is more common for the buyer to use the estimated repair costs as leverage to lower the asking price. The seller may agree to lower the price to compensate the buyer or agree to fix the issues before the sale is complete. However, in a competitive real estate market, a seller might refuse to cover any repairs, knowing that other buyers may be willing to purchase the property as-is.

Yes, by addressing issues early and ensuring components function correctly.

Replace when repairs exceed costs or the door suffers extensive damage beyond cosmetic fixes.
