"Alex ran this project as well and got help from Chris and his crew to zero scape my front yard. Rocks, 2 flower beds, and a long bush/tree bed. With some boulders. Its beautiful and no more yard work. They simultaneously did my driveway and my yard in 3 days 6 hours. It was so awesome! This company rocks it like no other."

"Very happy with our new concrete. We had a patio, RV pad, and our stairs redone by AAA Quality Concrete this spring. Kano has the heavy equipment and experience needed to tackle this large job. The written contract was simple and easy to understand. A round corner here and a square corner there, I got everything I asked for. The finished product looks amazing, my neighbors were very impressed. 100% would recommend."

Customers say: True professional

"They did a great job. Also were very accommodating, even when changes were made. They poured 2 large pads of concrete that were 10 feet by 22 feet, steps and a storage shed pad 10 fee by 8 feet. Looking to have more concrete work done in the future. I will be using Payne for my next job."

"Chase and his crew were great, got an estimate and explained everything. We were working on a timeline and Chase was more then willing to work that out. We had a couple of bumps in the road but he took care of it quickly, as happens with all remodels... quality work, shows up on time from the first day to the last day. Were were so impressed with the bathroom remodel that we hired him to install shiplap on a wall in our dining room. 2 days start to finish...... would highly recommend"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Brick can increase the value of your home depending on the type of masonry materials used. Homes generally have a higher resale value when they have brick siding, and brick is also easier to maintain (and lasts longer) than other types of siding, which can motivate buyers to make an offer.

Just keep in mind, however, that although brick can up the asking price when you sell your house, the cost to brick a house is also more expensive than other typical siding costs—so you’ll invest more in the project.

Yes, brick should be clean before staining to ensure the best results. Dirt, dust, mold, mildew, and other substances on the brick can prevent the stain from properly adhering to it. Thoroughly cleaning the brick allows the stain to penetrate and bond to the surface more effectively. Cleaning typically involves using a pressure washer or a stiff brush with mild detergent. However, stubborn residue may require a specialized masonry cleaner.

Yes, brick can breathe through limewash. Limewash is a breathable coating made from natural lime and water, allowing moisture to pass through while providing a protective layer. Unlike synthetic paints or sealants, which can trap moisture within the brick and lead to issues like mold, limewash allows the brick to maintain its natural breathability. This characteristic makes limewash an ideal choice for historic structures where preserving the integrity of the brick is essential.

Cobblestone fell out of favor with the advent of motor vehicles. Asphalt and concrete are both much smoother surfaces allowing for a smoother ride. Asphalt is also much cheaper, especially for driveways. However, we didn’t stop using cobblestone altogether, and you can still see it as a decorative option in both homes, in parks, and in pedestrianized areas of cities.

This is largely dependent on the size and hardness of the rock, but a range of tools might work, including hammers, chisels, rock hammers, sledge hammers, and more. You'll need a jackhammer for the very biggest rock-breaking jobs.
