"I explained to Ben over the phone what I wanted done, to have ceiling speakers installed in my living room for my home theater Dolby Atmos setup. Ben came out, had some great advice and gave me fair bid. Then came out a couple days later in late afternoon so I didn't have to miss any work. Did an excellent job installing some Polk Audio speakers he recommended for my project. Then went through my Marantz AV receiver and manually setup my settings for the best sound for my room and all I can say is Wow, what a difference. I didn't realize how good my system could sound. I kick myself for not hiring a pro long time ago, because I have really been missing out. It's like sitting in a movie theater now, watching a movie."

"I would have no hesitation in recommending Chad and his services to friends and family. Stayed well connected to what I wanted from the system and gave me a real quote that was fair to both parties with fit for purpose equipment and a quality, properly executed install. I wish Chad all the best with his business."

Stereo and Home Theater Systems questions, answered by experts

Professionals prevent incorrect assembly, improve stability, and manage wiring for a clean setup.

Built-in entertainment centers cost an average of $9,000, which includes full-wall shelving, storage, and a TV mount. While most homeowners pay around this price, you can expect to pay between $5,000 and $15,000, with high-end entertainment centers reaching upwards of $30,000. Built-in entertainment centers offer the same kind of shelving as built-in bookshelves, with additional considerations for television and related storage.

Costs range from $500 to $5,000, depending on speaker quality, wiring complexity, and labor.

The time required to set up a home theater system can vary. A standard installation often takes between 4 to 8 hours. However, more complex or custom setups, especially those involving intricate wiring or extensive equipment, might take a full day or even extend to 1-2 days to complete.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.
