"The wait for installation was long and when scheduled, they called to "reschedule" due to the installer. Apparently they use outside contractors to install. When they showed up, they worked hard but one installer left for over 2 hours, leaving on one to work. They did not want to quit and come back (found out they get paid by the job and couldn't pick up a new job until ours was finished. They left the house at 10:05 PM. The salesman put the wrong transitions in the order despite numerous conversations. They also installed the shoe molding around our kitchen island wrong. I went to store in Pearland the next day. My salesman had been transferred and I met with the District Manager. It took over a week to get anyone back out to fix and then they brought the wrong transitions again. I called the District Manager and complained. She told me they weren't there to fix the island until I asked her to check the paperwork and she admitted it was on the work order. After numerous phone calls, the installers went to Home Depot and came back with something that would work. They were nice and got it fixed. The carpet was scheduled later and when they showed up, they pulled the old pile carpet and told me that the defects in the staircase would show up if they installed the berber carpet. I asked why the salesman didn't discuss that with me. He said the salesmen don't install. They suggested I fix the staircase, repaint it and call them back. I got it fixed and called the store. The District Manager told me it would be 3 weeks before they could come back even though the installer said it would take less than 2 hours to install it. I have called back and asked to improve the installation. They said they send an email to installation but I am still waiting a week later. I am calling the COO in Houston tomorrow. The first 2 times I used Floors for Living, they were privately owned but have been purchased by another company. The entire process was much different and less congenial. I won't ever use them again and caution anyone thinking about it to check multiple review sources."

They claim on their website that they keep the spaces clean but they pulled random subs into the job that damaged many properties. They only are qualified to do small homes. Their crews acted unprofessionally and the entire experience with them was a complete nightmare. He did need to come to my house more than once to get a handle on a hard-to-locate leak, but this is what he did on one of those visits: I had had very low water pressure for 18 months, following the freeze last year in February, and I had just never gotten around to taking care of it. Another company (large chain) had installed a new water heater 2-3 months before the leak discovery; at that time I mentioned the low water pressure problem at least 20 times but no one paid any real attention. When I called them back for an estimate on the leak repair, they convinced me that, with the low pressure and the leak, my house just needed to be re-piped and quoted me $8,000 - not including the sheetrock repairs that would be necessary. Thank heavens I decided to get a second opinion. Ronnie took a walk around the house and checked the gateway shutoff valve that I had used to turn the water off and then back on after the freeze. I had simply neglected to open it all the way - hands probably not strong enough. He then came back to locate and repair a very messy, hard-to-reach hot water leak for under $1400. The way I see it, his competence, his real interest in solving problems the simplest way, and his honesty saved me about $8,500."
