"It took a while, and a lot of diligent hard work from these fabulous people. More than once Jeff and Betty came out in the middle of the night to inspect the traps and remove an animal. The family of raccoons is now (humanely) evicted."

"Their project management and customer service was excellent. Their services were expensive. However, their work was very thorough, probably because they never want to ever incur costs of pest breach due to their unlimited lifetime warranty."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

They can have a deterrent effect on birds to some extent. The reflective surfaces of these objects, such as aluminum foil strips, CDs, or reflective tape, create flashes of light and movement that can startle or confuse birds temporarily. However, some birds can become accustomed to these visual disturbances over time and might adapt their behavior accordingly. For a more sustained solution, combining shiny objects with other deterrent methods shared here is often beneficial for creating a more comprehensive and effective strategy for bird control.

Preventatives include frequent washing of pet bedding, regular vacuuming, flea-preventative applications, and avoiding infested areas.

Most DIY roach fogger products are made of pyrethroid pesticides that come with their own unique risks and benefits. They also contain aerosol propellants that disperse the pesticides by creating a fog that fills the entire room. Read all labels carefully before purchasing a fogger product to ensure that you understand how to properly handle the ingredients that you are introducing into your home.

If you’ve had a prior bat infestation or simply want to avoid having bats invade your home in the first place, there are a few steps you can take without the need for a pro.

  • Seal entry points, such as where your chimney meets your house, or other gaps or holes exist.

  • Use bat deterrents like bright lights or ultrasonic devices to force them away from your home.

  • Reduce bat attractions like standing water and bird nectar feeders inviting bats into your yard.

This depends on if their needs are being met. They'll likely return night after night if they have access to food, water, and adequate shelter. If this changes, they’ll look for another roosting spot. This is why bright lights and other dissuading factors often work when removing bats from a property.
