"We got several quotes from different contractors to pour a new concrete slab driveway replacing an old asphalt/gravel one. JFB Concrete not only came in lower than other bids, but were also the only ones who weren't afraid to talk to the city about any necessary permits. Indeed, other contractors told us scare stories about the expense and difficulty. The new driveway was installed on-time and on-budget. When the neighbor complained (unnecessarily) about a small detail, JFB went above-and-beyond, for no additional cost, to fix the issue for me in the name of keeping things civil with my neighbors. Sealing coat asphalt after 6-12 months and then every 2-3 years is recommended.

Asphalt, which is stone mixed with tar, is the most common material for outdoor basketball courts because it’s so sturdy and versatile. However, you don't have to use it: another option is polymeric rubber, which has shock pads that can prevent injury. This option is a little more expensive, ranging between $16 and $25 per square foot.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.
