"Adams Window Cleaning did an excellent job of cleaning my windows, both inside and out. They were punctual, quick and tidy. However, I'll never have them back again. From the minute the owner rang my doorbell to the minute he left, he was trying to sell me extra services. Rehanging my gutters, cleaning them out, "brightening" the gutters, power washing my patio and driveway... you name it, he wanted to do it. The minute I said "No" to one extra service, he came up with another. He wouldn't leave me alone. And the amount of money he wanted to charge me for these extra services was astronomical. I would have ended up spending about $1,000 extra if I had agreed to what he was proposing. I understand that the businesses who offer these specials need to oversell once they arrive at the home in order to make a profit. The special is just a way to get their foot in the door, and that's understandable. When I've bought a special in the past, the owner/employee has always asked if I needed anything extra. But when I have said "No," that's the end of it. No harassing or pushing at all. No telling me how serious and urgent this extra service is in order to keep up the maintenance of my home. I hope that Adams Window Cleaning will either back off from their hard sell tactics or not participate in any more Angie's List specials. It was an unpleasant experience for me."
