"The two service men arrived promptly and were professional in their approach to things. They told us what they were going to do and proceeded to setup their equipment. The first part of the process is determining where all the vents are and then removing all the covers. They did this part quickly and got to work right away. Opening the vents in older homes, of course some of them were painted and some immediately caused dust to drop. They proceeded to run through the cleaning, took their time, explained the optional services that could be provided. With this being a new house to us, we decided to add the additional services. I always expect an up-sell with promotion deals, so I figured this in and I was fine with their prices. The dryer vent was a mess, so I was glad that was taken care of. Once everything was done, they put all the vent covers back on and vacuumed up the house. Overall I was happy with the service when they left.
I did mark this review as "No, I would not use them again" and that's because I've been finding loose screws all over my house for months since they were here. When they took all our vent covers down, instead of replacing the original screws, they must have used new ones and the old ones were left behind. Having stepped on one or two of them, I wasn't thrilled and it would be dangerous if we had kids.
I can't say the work was bad at all - I was happy with the clean pipes that I could see and they were very nice - but the leftover screws bothered me.

"Ruben and Octavio were patient with me in explaining everything they found in the audit, answered my many questions, and ultimately went well above and beyond what I had originally asked them to do, helping to clean our vents. After spotting several leaks in my insulation, causing dust to get into our vents, they sealed them with foam, and went to great lengths to clean-up and leave the house spotless after finishing. These guys are very honest, prompt, and I will absolutely hire again and refer to friends."

"Omar and his crew were awesome! I got a call almost immediately following my search in Angie’s list. We set an appointment for the next day, they gave me a fantastic estimate, and we scheduled for the next week. The crew showed up right on time, set up protective equipment for my house and got right to it. If I needed this type of work done again they would absolutely be the people I call. Very quick, clean, well priced, professional, and even fixed some things the other insulators broke in my house without fixing. They worked quickly and took care of my home. They were very competitively priced and did an outstanding job. Omar and his crew do great work."

"Our refrigerator died while we were out of town. We called Appliance Fixx the next day; even though they are not in Dallas, they had a repairman in the area that day and were able to work us in. It turned out that the compressor was fine, just a part that activates the compressor had failed. He repaired it on the spot.
However, that part failed a week later! Must've been a manufacturing defect. They company scheduled and sent the repairman out again -- it took some time -- and he replaced it again with no additional charges. It has been fine since.

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Dryers pull in air from a circular opening in the back of the dryer. The dryer's heating element heats the air, and a blower fan circulates the hot air through the drum. The hot air travels outside the dryer through a vent or is cooled by a heat exchanger that condenses the steam into water and sends it down a drainpipe or to a containment compartment.

Yes, professionals clean ducts and exhaust fans to ensure complete system efficiency and compliance with safety codes.

To optimize airflow and energy efficiency, regularly clean vents and replace air filters, schedule periodic professional duct inspections, and seal any visible leaks. Proper maintenance prolongs ductwork longevity and performance.

Odors, humidity problems, and health symptoms like headaches or allergies.

Yes, dryer vent cleaning is absolutely worth the money. The service is relatively inexpensive and quick, and the value and peace of mind you get for the investment make it worthwhile. A clogged dryer vent is a significant fire risk, so the average $140 you might pay to have your dryer vent cleaned once a year could save you thousands of dollars in home repairs if the clog causes a fire. Additionally, some homeowner’s insurance companies will charge you a lower premium if you provide receipts of annual dryer vent cleanings by a professional.
