"I think he actually delivered the plans June, 1st.  I wouldn't use them again. I would have liked them to have been more proactive. He basically just took my ideas and made the design and as a person that is not an expert in that field, I would have appreciated more of his expertise rather than him just taking my ideas and doing his design on them."

"The basement king was a pleasure to work with. His knowledge is unmatched in the Texas area for sure. I received multiple quotes and talked to multiple companies and he was the best. He's passionate about his work and the manner in which it's done. If he says something, it happens. An added benefit was their cleanliness. Usually a job site of this size and complexity is a mess, but not with the basement kings. 10/10!"

"I got a quote from Lucky L on Friday evening. They were here Saturday morning. Tony was the one to weld a rail back on my log splitter. He is a professional who knows his craft AND takes pride in his work. He took the time to get this job done correctly. I will recommend this company to anyone that asks. KMB, Azle, tx."

"Rodrigo gave us a quote that was all inclusive and never deviated from it. Even added a bit and didn't increase the bid. Kept us apprised of the status of the job at the beginning and end of each day. Our fence was custom crafted on site and the materials and workmanship were excellent. Excellent value, especially when compared to the other companies we dealt with. Would call him again for fencing or any welding and strongly recommend Rodrigo and Lonestar Construction and Fabrication."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Most cabinetry made for a garage will have special coatings and finishes built to withstand extreme heat and cold, moisture, pest damage, rusting, and dry rot. However, many homeowners have put their old kitchen cabinets in the garage, added a couple of fresh coats of paint, and use them for a while without too much wear and tear.

The most affordable way to insulate a garage involves choosing cost-effective materials like fiberglass, which comes in batts or rolls and is relatively easy to install. You can often install this type of insulation without needing to add drywall, which helps reduce costs. While a DIY approach might seem cheapest, hiring a professional installer can be highly cost-effective. Experts can accurately determine your garage's specific insulation needs and ensure the best results for your investment, often using batt insulation for the bulk of the project.

You have plenty of options if a standard sectional door does not fit your home. Consider glass, fiberglass, sheet metal, or faux wood doors, or a folding, tilt-up, sliding, carriage, or trackless pivot style. A local garage door installer can match a style to your garage shape and size.

A carriage house combines garage or storage space with living space, usually in two stories, while a garage generally does not offer any living space. Carriage houses are built with plumbing, insulation, and heating and cooling systems, which are usually features not found in traditional garages. Building codes and insurance requirements greatly differ between the two types of structures, and may make it difficult to convert a garage to a carriage house.

The best options for lubricating a garage door are silicone- or lithium-based lubricants made specifically for this purpose. These products are designed to deeply penetrate the door's components, such as hinges and springs, providing long-lasting protection against wear and tear. A silicone-based lubricant is an excellent choice as it also prevents rust and corrosion and performs well in extreme heat and cold.

It is important to avoid certain products. Do not use heavy, oil-based lubricants or standard grease, as they can attract dust, dirt, and other debris that may get caught in the tracks. You should also avoid using WD-40, as it can strip away any existing lubrication.

You can typically find appropriate garage door lubricants online or at a local hardware store for less than $10.
