"Premier Entry Systems was quick to respond to my request for an initial quote for the work.  I was impressed by their reviews on Angie's List and they exceeded my expectations.  The gentlemen who installed the garage openers and gate opener were professional and helped us to understand how to operate both.  When the solar panel failed to generate enough power to operate the gate and the clickers failed (yes we tried to reset), they were quick to fix the situation.  I was truly impressed with their level of professionalism and courtesy.  I would not hesitate to use them in future and would highly recommend them.

"I needed my U drive grated and widen and loads of construction waste loaded into two 18 yard dumpster. Tim of Ground Level Dirt Service did a excellent job of widening and resurfacing my U drive. He made quick work with loading my construction waste in the dumpster, saving me time and not to mention back pain I would have had loading it by hand. Ideally, a gate should be able to swing both in and out. However, if it can only open in one direction, it is generally best for it to swing inward. This is often the safest option, especially for deck gates near steps, as you'll want the gate to swing away from the stairs. An inward swing also prevents the gate from opening into a public space, like a sidewalk, and can be more convenient when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

There are exceptions, however. The layout of your property may require a different approach. For example, if your property is on a slope, the gate may not be able to swing inward. You should also ensure the gate can open fully without colliding with any objects or blocking access to other areas. For a backyard garden gate where public access isn't a concern, the direction it swings is largely a matter of personal preference. Finally, always check your local building codes, as they may have specific requirements for which way a gate must swing.

Other mechanisms can help you keep your gate securely shut. Secure gate latch types will do the job, such as magnetic or spring-loading, self-closing lever varieties, or automatic gate openers. However, they won’t control the speed at which the gate closes.
