"I called and explained my issue. They set up a service call and the tech arrived on time. Once there he would not look at my pilot light but instead ran the serial number on my 8-year-old water heater. He then informed me it was too old and he was not allowed to work on them. I said that is ridiculous and said i would not need their service. He understood and left. I then received a quote for $3750 for the replacement of my two water heaters. Mind you, one was functioning just fine, but was again, 8-years-old. I called my handyman and he told me over the phone to hit the reset button. That worked. I saved my self $3750. I am disappointed that Met gave me the hard sell to replace rather than hit the reset button. Be wary of these people."

"Everything went great. The installer had difficulty finding the 'main water line' going into the house. After hours of digging and looking he finally located it. Then he had to run the pipe from the main line to the equipment which took a few more hours. Then he came inside and installed the reverse osmosis equipment under the kitchen sink. He started at 4pm and did not leave until 11:15pm.

It’s not a good idea to oversize your water softener. Doing so will mean the tank doesn’t get full, which can lead to channeling. This leads to a large portion of the resin beads not being utilized and the beads at the bottom of the tank being overused.
