Clint-Co was hired to provide the landscaping, which appeared to be fine until we had been in our new building for a few months. The landscaping was done with a desert-type, water-friendly xeriscape. Almost immediately weeds began popping up through the gravel and mulch. Clint-Co did not put a ground cloth underneath the gravel/mulch. For about 30 days, they came and sprayed the weeds; however, they sprayed grass coming up next to an ornamental grass they planted. Obviously, the ornamental grass died, too. So that money we spent was completely wasted. We have also been told by other landscaping companies that the level of mulch put down was completely insufficient. Then one of the trees died. The landscaping was completed April 2, 2013. On July 30, only - 3-4 months after completion of the landscaping - I contacted the owner of the company about a tree that died. I had to email him three more times before he finally responded in September 2013. His response - the tree was only covered if it was installed improperly and since he installed it properly, it wasn't his covered. During the additional times I emailed him, I also mentioned that we had a leak in the drip irrigation. Even though the controller was turned completely off, water continued to run on one cycle. His response - again, when he finally replied in September, he stated that we must have cut one of the lines with a hoe shovel while weeding. However, I know for a fact that no instruments had been used in weeding; it had all be done by hand. About a year later - in May 2014 - we had another cycle exhibit the same problem. It continued to run a solid stream of water, even though the system was turned off. Coincidentally, this was the cycle for the dead tree, which makes me wonder if it had been malfunctioning all along and whether the tree died as a result of over watering. Regardless, Clint-Co. is a company that refuses to stand behind its work and has cost a charitable organization a great deal of additional money through shoddy workmanship.

The yard was mowed, a plant coming up by the patio wall was cut off but not removed, and mulch was placed in a flower bed without removing grass first. I expected the yard to be edged, (this is a very small yard) grass removed from flowerbed and mulch added, patio swept or blown off and grass weed-eaten from slab in front of yard and along edge by drive....about 2 hours of steady work for $75.00 Note: when his Dad accompanies him, the work done is excellent.
Again, this is a really sweet guy. When you use him, just be available to be sure the work he does is what you want, he will do it if you are there to tell him. I think the issue here is younger generation work ethic vs. old fart work ethic. ;) He will mature into a fine yard man in time. The only problem I had with Lawngevity was with the billing; he was really lax about the billing and I didn’t know what I owed him most of the time. We bought an oak tree on April 4th and got delivered yesterday May 18th, it takes that long. The tree we picked was beautiful and full of leaves, we picked it and paid for it. But then they brought our poor tree here merely having leaves left, the tips of its branches are leafless, it's like...

FAQs for plant watering projects in Stanton, TX
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
