"Very courteous, promptly started prep work before agreed time without bothering me. Stained my wooden front door (2 coats) with a few missed spots but the missed area is not visible until the door is opened. Sealed the front door with two coats of sealant. Completed the job in less than four hours. Left no residue behind. $400."

Whether it's a scuff that needs touched up, a wall looks in need of a new color, someone else may have messed up the paint, or you need a fun, intricately painted project, you've come to the right place. Angi/Home Advisor charges an insanely high fee to contractors like myself for accepting projects, so email is the best way to contact me for a quote. I have years of experience painting for theatres and homes alike, and I can't wait to help your vision come to life. Let's collaborate! If you'd like to work with me, please email me directly at [email protected]. Even if I have "declined" your project, don't hesitate to email me.

"All of the work was done as described and in a timely manner. Alvaro (president) explained the process and answered any questions we had. The crew was punctual, courteous and respectful of the property. Windows, doors and vigas were taped off, drop cloths were used where material would splatter. After the completion of the project everything was cleaned up and put back in place. The workmanship is outstanding and the house looks brand new."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s often best to spray on deck sealer. Sprayers can apply sealant more quickly and evenly than rolling while still enabling you to reach tight spaces. When using a sprayer, always use a low-pressure setting at a close distance to ensure an even application. Avoid using sprayers on windy days.

A five-gallon bucket of deck stain will cover roughly 875 square feet in a single coat. Actual coverage will vary based on the type of wood you’re staining and the number of coats. If you plan on doing multiple coats, multiply the square footage by the number of coats to calculate how many buckets of stain you’ll need.

The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. If you're going for a transparent, barely there look, a single coat or two may suffice. For fuller coverage, you'll want to use multiple coats. Another option is to use a less diluted paint to get a thicker coverage.

Choosing the best color for your home exterior should factor in longevity as well as your personal taste. To keep your house looking newly painted as long as possible, stay away from red paint. Although red homes pop and are quintessential for country-style barns, red paint tends to fade fastest in the sun. Go with earth tones if you want paint that best resists fading.

Aftercare includes routine cleaning, checking for water repellency, and promptly addressing any chips or peels, maintaining the deck's appearance and functionality.
