"Al and his crew are professionals in their response to their customers and in their work.  The crew came out once to repair a bubble and a few cracks and returned to finish the job after the undercoat had dried.  Looks great!!  I would recommend these guys to anyone!

"We had a complete concrete sidewalk put in from our drive way through our back fence gate to back porch entrance and around backside of our home. Access was not easy and the concrete had to placed manually by crew members, so a lot of labor involved. The crew members were very efficient and worked quickly under some uncomfortable weather conditions. Overall we are very happy with the finished project! We would use these folks again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for fair price and fast efficient workmanship."

"Henry and his crews were top of the line. On time and on budget. The attention to detail was outstanding. They listened to the problems I was having with a roof leak under my second story deck and found a solution. Pulled back deck boards. Resolved the leak issue and replaced everything. This is the second time I have used Dans Roofing and will call them again. Good contractor !"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

A properly applied coat of stain will last between 3 and 8 years, depending on your climate. If you live in a place where your fence experiences a lot of moisture or high heat, your stain will last for a shorter period than in more temperate conditions. We recommend reapplying stain every 3 to 5 years to keep your wood in good condition.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

There’s no single paint that’s the most waterproof. Instead, there are several types of waterproof and water-resistant paints that suit different purposes. Epoxy paint, for instance, is commonly used to provide a waterproof coating to floors and decks. Masonry paint is an excellent choice for exterior walls. Meanwhile, there are waterproof acrylic paints that can be used for interior and exterior walls. It’s more about choosing the best type for what you’re painting instead of the most waterproof paint overall.

Hot, intense sunshine can cause your stain to dry too quickly, which could lead it to look uneven or patchy. If you’re staining the deck during hotter months, it’s best to do it in the morning or evening once the wood has had time to cool down. If you’re staining in cooler weather with less sunshine, the time of day won’t make as much of a difference.

Yes, it is important to wash your deck before painting to ensure the paint applies well and adheres properly. While you don't have to use a pressure washer, it is one of the most efficient cleaning methods. Pressure washing can quickly remove dirt, wood fibers, and flaked paint, getting deeper into the wood than manual scrubbing. You can also clean the deck with a stiff broom and a cleaning solution. Regardless of the method, a clean surface is essential for good paint adhesion. Make sure the deck is completely dry before applying any paint.
