"Douglas with Douglas Land and Landscaping installed a drainage line to the curb to stop the water ponding on the northside of the house. He also created a garden in my front yard and installed sod to the front yard and a sprinkler system. He also repaired the flagstone sidewalk to my front yard. All work was professionally completed. My wife and I love the work that was completed. Good prices. I strongly recommend Douglas Land and Landscaping Augustine and Karin Rodriguez Atascocita, Texas."

"After the freeze that hit our area in February, I had several sprinkler heads that needed repair. Alex came that same day I called and quoted me a price I could not pass up. He was very professional and completed the work that same day. I would highly recommend him again!!!!"

"They showed up right on time and did an excellent job. Cleaned up after themselves. They had a wood chipper for the debris. They were very pleasant to work with and I have already recommended them to my daughter and a neighbor."

"Best gutter cleaner I have ever had! Omar and his team did an excellent job and took the time to do it properly. I've used several gutter cleaners over the years but none compare to the quality of work perfomed by Omar. He was very polite, took care of the job in a timely manner and the results far exceeded my expecatations!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Mature lilac bushes that are large and overgrown are more challenging to remove than small lilac bushes. Large lilac bushes have deeper roots that are more widespread, making it harder to dig them up and remove them. If you don’t dig under and around the primary roots, then you run the risk of the lilac bush growing back. So, it is a time-consuming process if done correctly.

Yes, you can conduct your own leaf removal, but consider that keeping up with leaf removal is time-consuming and requires regular yard work throughout the fall. The process can take a few hours a week. Professionals have lawn equipment that can speed up the process and save you time. Additionally, consider how you’ll dispose of the leaves. If your sanitation company won’t pick them up—especially if you have many bags from a once-annual cleanup— you’ll have to drive the bags to the dump. It’s usually easier to leave the work and disposal to a professional leaf removal service.

Foxtail grass is not native to the United States, so it is considered an invasive plant. Giant foxtail originated in eastern Asia, Green foxtail is native to Europe, and Yellow foxtail is native to Eurasia. This grass variety is one of many common invasive plant species that you should keep out of your yard and garden beds as much as possible.

If you have a lot of trees around your home, mulching all those leaves can smother the lawn. Air and light won't reach the grass and soil if too many leaves have been mulched. Turf grass and other lawn problems can arise if the weather is too wet and excessive leaves have been mulched.

You’ll need to kill the earwigs using traps or insecticides, and then prevent them from entering your home. Make sure you fix leaks and seal up all cracks and crevices. You can use a dehumidifier to cut the moisture and drive earwigs out.
