"Awful! Workmanship was poor, no-show rate high. No “work crew” as promised; contractor brought his wife and minor children to “help”. Products ordered and paid for, damaged during installation necessitating do-over. Did not do installation following manufacturer recommendations. Blamed manufacturer for quarantine-related delays, but we verified order and ship dates with the manufacturer. Delays were contractor’s fault. Contractor made repeated draws on labor charges; stopped showing up when draws exceeded contracted labor fee. He collected state sales tax but has no tax permit on file with TX Comptroller’s Office. Posted photos on Facebook of other projects he was doing while he told us he had to quarantine due to COVID exposure. Never finished project; 60 days after bath remodel tear-out started, we hired a plumber and are completing finish work ourselves. Have posted other reviews and found that contractor has posted fake reviews for his own company. Reported to Facebook, and FB removed his business page."

Is your bathtub, shower or sink ugly?! Do you have stains you can't remove? Like rust, hard water, build up, chips, loose grout or cracked tile. Let us make your bathroom look new again with our single day system

"They came out to refinish my fiberglass shower insert. The quality was very poor. It had smudge marks in it, globs of the finish that weren't smoothed out, it was chipping, and drip marks. The website state they have a warranty on their work but don't believe that. If you contact them the claim they don't service your area anymore, even if they were there a month ago. I finally got them to come out and the guy who showed up scraped the finish of with his fingernail (I'm pretty sure it supposed to be harder than that) and then said he didn't have enough time to repair it. Try calling the Jose and the comments and remarks he said to me are beyond unprofessional. Don't waste your money or time on this company. Poor quality, unprofessional, and false statements on their website about a warrant. Save yourself the stress and expense and go with someone else."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

There are a few signs, both obvious and not so obvious, that it's time to refinish your bathtub. While some of these signs aren't an urgent problem, others could lead to significant damage if left untreated. Signs you should look out for include:

  • Rust stains, which signal the tub's enamel or surface sealer is deteriorating

  • Small chips, which can grow into larger chunks and can lead to rusting

  • Discoloration, which doesn't lead to a more significant problem but can be unsightly

  • Dirty surfaces, which means that the tub glaze is breaking down and allowing dirt to seep below the coating

The reglazed tub won’t last as long as a brand-new bathtub. Professional reglazing jobs can only last up to 15 years.

According to most pros, you can only reglaze a tub once or twice. So, if you’ve already reglazed your tub once, it might not be a realistic solution.

Some chemicals used in reglazing a bathtub can be dangerous to your health. If you’re DIYing the project, ensure the room is ventilated, and always wear a mask. If you hire a contractor, make sure you get the clearance to use the bathroom again.

When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.

The process involves cleaning the surface, applying bonding agents or new veneers, and finishing with a protective top coat or polish.

You're more likely to accidentally crack your plastic tub rather than successfully fixing a hole. You can fix hairline cracks and larger stress cracks with a plastic tub crack repair kit from a home improvement store. You'll need to clean out the tub, apply either the epoxy resin or filler putty compound into the crack, let it dry, and then sand it out.

Depending on your budget, you might consider a new tub as part of your bathroom remodel costs. It could be a good opportunity to update everything after considering all of the bathroom remodel ideas out there.
