"Cannon Cultivation performed excellent work! I have hired several contractors over the past few years to do a variety of work. There is always a challenge with quality and completing the work in a timely manner. Never had any issues with Casey. Was always professional and courteous. He completed everything within the timeframe we agreed on. I had to have the fence replaced quickly and Casey and his crew worked early morning to late evening everyday so all could be completed on time. His crew was literally finishing work late in the evening with spotlights! The completed fence turned out fantastic! I almost debated selling the house! Will hire only Cannon Cultivation for all my future projects."

"Great! They arrived at the time they promised. They were careful around my shrubs. The brick and siding of the house looked great and I was shocked at the difference having the driveway pressure washed made. I have asked them to contact me every 6 months to have it done again."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Most privacy fences are easy to install if you’re going with a DIY-friendly option like a wood fence, vinyl fence, or pallet fence. Since pallet fences come in the form of pre-constructed fence panels, they’re often considered the easiest privacy fence to install. Just get your fence stakes in the ground and slide the pallets onto them before securing them with scrapboard.

Typically, a fence requires one to two coats of stain. The exact number can vary depending on the porosity of the wood. For specific guidance, it's best to check the manufacturer's instructions. After applying the first coat and letting it dry completely, you can assess the finish. If it appears patchy, uneven, or you want a more saturated color, a second coat is recommended. An extra coat can also help cover lap marks.

You can reuse chain link fences as long as they’re in good condition. The best part—reusing it helps you make the most of the cost of a chain link fence. Whether you want to reuse it or consider asking someone to remove it for you in exchange for a free fence, it’s possible. If you can’t find a location for it in your yard, you can repurpose a chain link fence by donating it to a local animal shelter or community garden.

Deer can crawl under a fence if it has a gap of around 6 inches or more. Make sure to close all gaps at the bottom of your fence to keep deer out, and the bottom of the material should be tightly secured, or the deer will push right through it. As an added benefit, closing shorter gaps at the bottom of a fence can also keep rabbits out of your yard.

A wobbly fence can be caused by a number of things, though poor installation is the usual culprit. It’s always best to have your fence installed by a professional who can ensure the posts are placed correctly and that the chain links have the correct amount of tension.
