"I had an experience with few other locksmith companies in the past, and it was not so great at all. Needless to say, Joey Is the most professional and courteous by far. He arrived right on time, and changed quickly and efficiently our home locks. I will recommend Joey to anyone who I know needing a reliable locksmith service."

"Chris with Lock-It-Down Locksmith arrived at our home on time, replaced the malfunctioning locks quickly, explaining what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. He is very knowledgeable and was a pleasure doing business with. Angi has a winner with Lock-It-Down and I recommend them highly."

"The replacement went fine. The work was professional and at the agreed time. I was pleased with that. My only issue was with the charges. I had found the mechanism online priced at $108 (with $13 shipping). It would have arrived after my desired time frame, so I expected the locksmith would have a local resource from which to purchase at a wholesale price in a more timely manner. I expected that price to be about $60; certainly less than $100. However, I was told the locksmith paid $179! This didn't seem reasonable. Also, I did not receive an itemized receipt, only a total. After expecting to pay perhaps $150, I was actually charged almost TWICE that. So although I was happy with the work, I was certainly not happy with the price."

"Frank from Cheers Services Locksmith did a terrific job rekeying our new home. From prompt start to timely finish, he was professional, and his services were reasonably priced. Of our three exterior locks, we had keys for only two. Frank ran to the local hardware store and back again to pick up a replacement lock and completed the entire job in under 90 minutes. We would definitely recommend him to anyone with rekeying or maintenance needs, and I’ve included his contact information below for your reference and use. Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Always consider security a top priority in your home. Perform a safety inspection of your home. Look for broken locks and rusty deadbolts, and take an inventory of who has access to your keys.

Consider the locks on your shed, safe, and other household items. Professional locksmiths can help you determine the best safety and security options for your home and feel at ease.

When a locksmith comes to your home, ensure your safety by having the locksmith show identification and provide an itemized invoice that you can reference later.

It could be difficult to get in and out of a lock for several reasons, such as the keyhole needing additional lubrication. Particles, debris, and dirt can also get into a lock, making a key stuck (the lubrication can help with the removal).

The best type of deadbolt depends on your specific needs. If accessibility is your primary concern, a single-cylinder deadbolt is the easiest to operate. Mortise locks are likely the most secure type of deadbolt you can install, but single-cylinders combined with secondary locking mechanisms like vertical locks are also a great option. Smart locks will give you the most flexibility to open and close your locks whenever and wherever you need to.

It is best to use a dry lubricant, such as a Teflon-based option, for door locks. Unlike popular oil-based lubricants, dry lubricants leave a non-stick, water-repellent coating that does not attract dust, dirt, and other debris. Using an oil-based lubricant can cause these particles to build up inside the lock, making it difficult to operate or even damaging the internal mechanism. You can find dry lubricants, some of which are made specifically for locks, at most hardware stores.

Yes, many locksmiths offer 24/7 emergency services for business lockouts, broken keys, and security breaches.
