On 10/23/14, the pipe used to connect the catalytic converter failed in the mountains in New Mexico. I had to drive for over an hour to get back to the small town I was staying in; the following morning, I had to drive for another hour to a shop in Santa Fe for repairs. What should have been a simple repair (replacing the broken pipe) was complicated because incorrect bolts had been used in the exhaust flange; bolts had to be tapped out and replaced, along with removing the broken pipe and welding a new one in place. The repair took the better part of the day, costing me a day's work and making it necessary to juggle my hotel reservations and travel plans. It was also noted that the u-joints were about to fall out of my truck - it would have been great to lose a drive-train on some mountain road....or a highway. When I returned to Texas, I contacted Bill Cabaj, Allstate owner, on 10/30/14. I explained the problem with the pipe/bolts and texted him pictures of the failed/incorrect parts and of the completed repair. I also mentioned that his shop had failed to service my transmission & differential, and that two other drive belts and the u-joints had to be replaced in Santa Fe - money that his shop could have collected had they thoroughly examined my truck as requested. I asked for a refund of the pipe repair only - $189.95. Bill stated that they subcontract exhaust work and he would have to talk to his subcontractor. I waited until 11/5/14 and did not hear from Allstate; I called and left a message for Bill - my call was not returned. On 11/10/14 I called again, left a message inquiring whether any action would be taken regarding a refund and asked for a call back. I have not been contacted. I can only conclude that my <$200.00 repair expense due to a faulty part/repair is less important to Allstate than my >$2000.00 initial repair was. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.
11/20/14 Bill called and we discussed; he had contacted the subcontractor and expressed concern that the converter might have been affected by the high altitude (mountains) and said he would like to take a look at it to make sure it is ok. He also stated that he would mail a check to refund my out-of-pocket repair in New Mexico. I stated that I've had no problems with the truck since the New Mexico repair and we concluded the converter is probably ok and doesn't need to be checked at this time.
On 12/1/14 I called to check the status of the reimbursement; Bill said the check would be mailed that day.
On 12/3/14 I received a check for $190.00. I appreciate the reimbursement and the concern for proper operation of the converter.

Another shop had performed work on my truck in August; that repair failed as I was driving through New Mexico. I called Meineke and described my problem, and explained that I was traveling; I spoke with Ramon, who told me to come on in and they would take care of it. When I arrived at the shop, Ramon made sure my truck was on the rack quickly - he told me they would get me right out, as he knew I was traveling. Unfortunately, the repair took much longer than anticipated because of shoddy repair work in August - bolts had to be tapped out and it was time-consuming. Ramon (who is the co-owner of the shop) kept me fully apprised of the progress and problems; we also discovered the u-joints needed to be replaced, which was a blessing to me - I could have been stranded or worse had the u-joints failed while I was driving. While it's never pleasant to be faced with the hassle and expense of car problems, it's very worrisome when you are in a strange town and you and quot;take your chancesand quot; with a repair facility. EVERYONE at this Meineke was exceptional!!! The technicians were polite, professional, thorough and friendly. Ramon was an absolute delight - he willing and cheerfully showed me the repairs in process and made every effort to ensure that I felt comfortable with the work being done. I HIGHLY recommend this shop

Came to give quote. Found water leak and repaired it quickly. Professional, courteous service. Highly recommended.
Left my SUV at the shop for over two weeks; requested that transmission & rear end be serviced and truck inspected for anything that needed to be done as I travel and don't want to be on the road with auto problems. Neither the transmission nor the differential were serviced. On 10/23/14,...

FAQs for computer repair projects in Rio Grande, TX
The time it takes to repair a computer depends on the repair needed and part availability. It can take between a few hours to three weeks to fully restore your computer. Certain repairs, like data recovery or network configuration, can be done remotely within a few hours. Other problems, like a Blue Screen Error Code, could take multiple days to resolve fully. Consult a computer repair technician for a diagnosis of your computer’s problem and estimated timeline for repairs.
The average desktop PC lasts three to eight years, while laptops last only three to five years. Desktop computers tend to last longer because of the extra space inside the box, which allows added airflow. This component also allows easy access to repair individual parts as needed. Laptops have more tightly packed components that can lead to overheating issues and a shorter lifespan.
There are several common repairs between laptops and desktops that you’ll need to address as soon as possible. A slow computer is often related to having too many files on your computer or even spyware. A computer repair professional will scan your system for malware and possibly add more RAM to increase the speed time.
Another common problem is overheating, which is caused by dust build-up on the computer components or a part failure. Older computers might develop graphic problems where the display is fuzzy or altered.
In most circumstances, a computer repair will cost less than replacing your computer. However, there are a few factors to consider before making that decision. First, if the repair will cost more than half the cost of a replacement computer, it might be worth replacing it, especially if it’s reaching its age limit.
In addition, it’s essential to consider whether the repair is a one-time deal or regular occurrence. If the repair is a simple upgrade, it’s worth repairing. However, if you have a serious problem like excessive spyware that cannot be fully resolved, it’s better to replace it.
The average cost for computer repair is between $50 to $150. On average, computer repair technicians charge $60per hour, though that price can be as low as $40 to as high as $90 per hour.
The necessary repairs will often dictate the type of charge you’ll incur. For example, laptop hardware replacement, such as hard drives, RAM, or keyboards, typically costs $30per component. However, a complete tuneup, which includes computer upgrades and virus removal, averages around $150.
