They were excellent, because they were in our house for a long time. Their work was great, and their back ground checks made me more comfortable, in case I needed to go out. I could leave my teenager here, and that was very good. They remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago, and then we got them to do the bathrooms. I felt like the price was a lot. it was $11000 for one bathroom, and $13000 for the other. One bathroom required more work. They had to remove a ceiling fan, and put a drop down. They were very nice, friendly, and professional. I didn't get any other estimates, so the price may be alright."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/tyler/wattis-and-payne-general-contractors-reviews-8286224.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Green Bug","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Marian F."},"reviewBody":"Things went well for several days until one of the workers crashed through the kitchen ceiling on Thanksgiving Day. This worker insisted that he could repair the hole (approximately 2 feet by 2 feet) as he was a "professional" with a background in dry wall repair. After several days of his repair it was obvious that he created more of a mess than a repair. Gino Springer, the CEO, was called in. Gino insisted that he, too, was a "professional" with a background in this type of repair and insured us that he could redo the initial repair with near perfect results. Because of the mess made by the first Green Bug employee, the ceiling needed to be sanded to remove the layers upon layers of ill-placed media packed onto the repair area. This created a cloud of fine silt which moved from the kitchen to the adjourning rooms requiring a professional cleaning service - paid for by Green Bug. Gino's redo of the first repair resulted a cracking drywall within 2 days. He called in a third person, someone with experience in "this type of work." This 3rd man seemed quite uninterested in the repair and left the job with a still noticeable flaw around 2/3 of the repair parimeter. Gino stepped in again saying that it just need a little more sanding and painting. He did more than this and actually moved from a ceiling nearly looking good back to a mediocre repair. The entire process lasted from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Eve with visits by this crew nearly 3 times/week. Looking back, we should have insisted that we call in a true professional but Green Bug "didn't want to claim this accident to their insurance company." The final repair looks ok when the kitchen light shines directly on it but with natural lighting an undulation is seen in an area nearly 3 times bigger than the initial hole. (Was the thought here to smear stuff all over the ceiling so that the initial area of repair was not so obvious?) Needless to say, be warned. If you have some simple outside extermination - call these guys but I, for one, would not invite them into the house. I told him that the car was made by an American company and call a parts man at a car dealer and found the parts on hand, and a better price. Steve got the car ready in time to take the weekend trip. Corey and crew did a wonderful job painting my staircase with tall ceilings and media room. I also followed up with them to refurbish an outdoor bench and provide indoor/outdoor window cleaning. They did an excellent job at a fair price. It is a pleasure working with them and I will utilize...

The project went very well. They brought in special scaffolding for the high ceiling, put up copious amounts of masking to cover the remainder of the walls, furniture and floors. The areas were repaired so that you can't even tell where it was done. They did a great job of cleaning up.

"I needed fast service due to an insurance coverage problem and I didn't know what to do. I left messages with several places and Steve was the first to call and after I explained what I needed, he came right away, and got me an estimate in less than an hour. A few other places called but couldn't come in the time frame I needed so I called Steve and told him to schedule it. Two days later they called to let me know that they were on the way and then when they got to my home. The technician was thorough and even though the job was a little more involved than I we believed, he spent the time and made it all right before he finished. I can't say enough good about this company and since I live in a 90 year old house I am sure that I will need them again when I need electrical work done."

We have been in business for 10 years with an accredited A+ rating at the BBB. We are a "turn key" remodeling company which means we do most of the work ourselves from beginning to end without having to "sub out" work. We do many things "in house" such as framing, cabinetry installation, painting, minor electrical and plumbing. We staff confident and legal personnel within the Tyler area. Our billing procedures are that we don't collect any money up front for smaller jobs that are usually under $5,000.00 but we do expect payment upon completion. On larger projects our procedure is to get 1/3 upfront, 1/3 half way through the project and the final 1/3 at completion. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction. We do no advertising other than "word of mouth" from happy customers. It seems we always get 1 or 2 more jobs just by making you happy and you telling your friends and family how good we were. Not advertising helps us to keep costs down and our bidding more competetive which keeps more of your money in your pocket. We are currently in the process of getting a contractors license so that we may persue some commercial jobs. We are fully insured for everyones protection.

FAQs for ceiling fan service projects in Quitman, TX
Standard ceiling fans are the traditional-style fans made from plastic, wood, metal, or fiberboard.
Smart ceiling fans allow you to control it with your smartphone or voice commands.
Dual-motor ceiling fans have two motors that produce more airflow in multiple directions.
Energy-Star ceiling fans are similar to standard fans but can be up to 60% more energy efficient than other fans, lowering your utility bill.
Large ceiling fans work best in large rooms where the ceilings are between 10 and 25 feet high.
If you need to install electrical wiring for your new ceiling fan, contact a local ceiling fan installer to help with this project. If you’re not a licensed electrician, installing wiring yourself could be a code violation. Even worse, this project can be dangerous if not done correctly.
However, if you’re replacing an existing ceiling fan, and you are an experienced DIYer, you may be able to install it yourself. This option might involve purchasing a special ladder if you have a vaulted ceiling. Replacing a ceiling fan yourself can save on labor costs, but if you aren’t handy, be sure to call a pro.
Not every ceiling fan is best suited for every room type. The size of the room dictates the size of your ceiling fan. Consult a ceiling fan installer to determine the right fan for your room and reference this sizing information:
Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan of 29 to 36 inches.
Rooms from 75 to 175 square feet require a fan of 42 to 48 inches.
Rooms from 176 to 350 square feet require a fan of 52 to 56 inches.
Rooms over 350 square feet require a fan of larger than 60 inches.
The time it takes to install a ceiling fan depends on whether you have existing wiring. If you’re swapping out one ceiling fan for another, it’ll take one to two hours for your ceiling fan professional to make the switch. However, if your ceiling fan installer needs to install wiring or if it's a difficult installation—places like high ceilings, porches, or attics—it could take up to four hours for complete installation.
The cost to install a ceiling fan is $250 on average, ranging from $85 to $605 or more, depending on the fan type and size and if additional wiring or switches are required.
Standard fans are typically the most cost-effective, ranging from $50 to $300 to install. Complex ceiling fans like rotational fans with a dual motor are usually the most expensive to install, ranging from $200 to $1,500. It’s important to note that installing a ceiling fan in a room without existing wiring is a very complex job that could cost up to $2,000.
